New subscription service issues for iPhone app.

  • New subscription service issues for iPhone app.

I am still in the free 3 month period, and I am really enjoying listening to the "My Mix-Radio" station, but I have a couple issues that will make me decide NOT to purchase the service once my trial is up.

    1. I can only STOP music play, not PAUSE it. What if I am really into the song playing, but somebody needs to talk to me? If I click stop it takes me back to the radio station page and I cannot resume the song.

    +1 for pandora radio
    -1 for Last.fm radio

    2. If I am listening to the last.fm radio app in my car through an auxiliary port and I am done driving and want to switch over to my headphones, it doesn't let me. Once I take the aux cable out, the music stops and the app returns to the radio list. This same sequence on Pandora radio would just pause it, allowing me to plug in my headphones and resume where I left off.

    +1 for pandora radio
    -1 for Last.fm radio

Three dollars a month is not a lot of money for such a great radio service (superior to pandora for the fact that my scrobbles affect the radio play, I love it!), but until these issues are fixed I will not be subscribing.

    1. Pausing music requires more expensive streaming rights.
2 Can be changed in the iphone settings. set headset interruption to off

  • Your #2 point is very helpful, thanks.

But as far as your #1, if they are going to start charging $36 a year, shouldn't they upgrade their streaming rights? I just can't justify paying the $3 a month if I can't even pause the music.

  • Good luck with that, like CBS / Last.FM actually give crap about their users.....
