    I come from a free speech country and near where my new housing project in London their was a vicious attack on an army veteran. However, the man who butchered this man's head of had an opinion and this was voiced and video'd across the globe. He just used violence as he had the feeling he couldn't do it anyother way. It is immoral to kill someone, however, to get a point across and being edge of society maybe violence is the only way to do this. With these comments, some people won't be 'nasty' and will be 'PC' but not all of us have to bow down to any man, women or child just becuase they thought it was 'a little too rude'. That's absurd. If you are offended by it, turn off your monitor, walk outside calm down then comeback....I can't say I am never going to be 'rude' to some of these songs as I may hate one....but it isn't meant to be a personal vendetta towards the person whom entered that particular song...it's just how I felt about that song as a whole.

    It depends what you consider 'rude'. It's an opinion. Some people don't like black people, others hate muslims. It is a matter of opinion. You cannot say one thing is right and another is wrong. As that is your moral attitude towards it.

    Daniel many comments are a little rude, you only have to read some. I'm not saying about avoid comments, but I prefer make it at the end of the contest after the votes and results. In my opinion if I read bad comments of my song I go not motivated to the final cause of this, and I would like change this for the surprise factor is always better than now you won't count with many points cause these previous opinions. We can do it better in future contests, are you agree?

    On a totally unrelated note, I saw Akron/Family (who didn't score amazingly a couple contests ago :) last night, and they put on an awesome show. High energy and they even did an encore!

    I personally love reading the comments, even the ones that slam my song. I think having them adds much depth to the group, particularly when they show an angle to the song I hadn't noticed before. And as I've acknowledged before, my intent isn't to maim submitters with negativity, but I will be honest. Honestly, I feel pretty much everyone in the group is fair about their personal tastes :)

    well, the comments are an essential and great part of the game. Sometimes it's quite difficult for me to express what makes the song interesting or boring. It's easier when songs have considerable lovely or annoying elements.

    That being said, if anyone does feel that someone is being unnecessarily rude to them or someone else, please do come talk to us. Usually it's just a misunderstanding, but the aim of the group isn't to make anyone feel bad :)

    Music is subjective...a persons view on something shouldn't make you less into that artist if you like it. You have to be selfish with music and share what you like and fuck everyone else. Have blinkers on so to speak.

    I always enter tracks that I love/like but that makes me blind for their shortcomings, negative comments point them out to me and make me appreciate the tracks differently (change is good). Commenters who love them as well are just as tainted as me :)

    The only thing that annoys me is that not everyone does the comments overview where you see all their comments after the live show. But I guess that's indvidual preference. But I like to know other opinions on things, especially my entries (of course)...

    "that stopped the song in few seconds... it's not valid make a comment and skip the next song." was that mine "bored, so I made lunch" ??? In my house, i can hear everything from upstairs, downstair, conservatory....I have speakers around my house you see, all i do is set it to 'in house' from the computer, stereo or tv and i can listen to that anyway in side my house. so I am still listening, it's just my comment is 'Bored, made lunch" becuase thats what I actually did.

    The comments are part of the fun. I enjoy reading other users' comments and I enjoy submitting my own. They are opinions based on personal taste. They are not attacks against the person submitting the songs. To just go straight to the voting would frankly be boring and if that were to happen then I would likely leave the group.

    Bah, I read comments about some user that stopped the song in few seconds... it's not valid make a comment and skip the next song... we all could make the same. I consider not necessary have to comment every single song, the important are the votes, that's all.

    To comment on all songs is a natural thing to do after you listened to them. Everyone has an opinion about it was good or not. It's even a little proof that you are really interested and listening to everyone's songs.
