This group is for all fans of the German pop/rock band Kind of Blue and/or fans of the Polish singer Lidia Kopania, who is also the voice of Kind of Blue since 2004.

Welcome, everyone! No matter if you know KIND OF BLUE or not. ;-)

A short history: Kind of Blue's music is a mostly melancholy, guitar-based pop/rock, with very catchy tunes and strong female vocals. The band became popular in 2000 when they took part in the German national final for the Eurovision Song Contest and came in 3rd place, although completely unknown at the time. The single "Bitter Blue", the 2nd single "The Same" (which went into heavy rotation on radio) and the first album "In Sight" helped Kind of Blue to a very promising start. Shortly after that, singer Katrin Holst left the band. In 2004, Kind of Blue returned with a new voice, Polish singer Lidia Kopania, and released their second album "Beating The Morning Rush". In the following years, Kind of Blue's songwriter and guitarist Bernd Klimpel also wrote songs for Lidia's first solo albums, which were released in Poland. He also co-wrote her song "I Don't Wanna Leave", with which she represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Kind of Blue are currently working on a third album, which will hopefully be released this year.
