My list:

1. Sarah Vaughan
2. Billie Holiday
3. Ella Fitzgerald
4. Nat King Cole
5. Can't choose between Joe Williams and Nina Simone

*this is a list of my favorites, not of who I think is the best (there is a difference)

E. Fitzgerald had vocal dexterity par none

Male:
J. Hartman performed the classic "Lush Life"
E. Jefferson was 'out there'

Group:
Lambert, Hendricks & Ross well-known but still needs more accolades

Performance you should hear:
Horace Silver's album "Silver 'n Voices" has rich-textured Jazz harmony Vocal Choir as only Silver could produce. It is hard to find, but I have it available if need be.

I am working on my Masters and for the course Musicians and the internet I had to social network, create a blog,a dn will develop a web site soon.
