    Integral music

A post I saw recently on Integral Life presented some interesting questions regarding the relation of music and Integral Theory. I'll paste the questions here, if anyone would like to ponder over them, and possibly come up with theories.

    - What does music do to the AQAL constellation (a term I borrowed from Integral Coaching Canada) of a listener (i. e. psychogram)?

    - What does music do to the AQAL constellation of a culture (i. e. sociogram)?

    - Can music support/hinder vertical growth?

    - Music as a mean for shadow work and shadow expression?

    - How much is the creator of music (or any artefact) responsible for the (mis)use of his or her artefact by others?

    - Music and reincarnation: how can Mozart be explained without reincarnation?

    - Music as a way to inquire and express interiority

    - How would a Wilber-Combs lattice look – and sound – for music?

    - What type of phenomena (i. e. emotional states) does different music evoke in humans?

    - Can the AQAL constellation of a composer be heard from his or her music? How to interprete music?

    - What are the (developmental) structures of music? A very good Zone 2 look on the artefact music in my opinion is: Werner Poehlert: Basic Harmony

    - body/realm and music: I think music has a lot to do with what Ken describes as the subtle body/realm

    - interrelatedness between lyrics and music in a song: 2 artifacts in one.

    - Types/styles of music: i. e. classic, rock, pop, folk, rap, jazz …: what is the interrelation between these types and the levels. Are there types which “run” through all levels, and are there types which appear only on one or two levels? Is there a red classical music? Is there a teal rap music?

    - Music and levels: lets give it a try

Red: “I want it all …” (Queen), “Satisfaction” (Rolling Stones) (subtle state?)
    Amber: folk music, national anthem
Orange: “Money makes the world go round” (from the movie Cabaret), “Money” (Pink Floyd)
Green: “Where have all the flowers gone”, “We are the world”
Petrol: “What a wonderful world” (Louis Armstrong)
