* THE DEARS - Absolutely one of my favorite bands of the moment. Such passion and soul in everything they do.
* ARCADE FIRE - They really are just genius - and so incredible live.
* METRIC - I like all that Emily Haines does, but Metric's the most fun.
* YOUNG GALAXY - An impressive new band with lots of potential.
* WOLF PARADE - True originals.
* BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE - Gotta give props to Canada's #1 super-group.
* NEW PORNOGRAPHERS - And to #2...
* STARS - How can you not love this group?
* THE STILLS - I'm up and down with them, but mostly up.
