Evolution

I'm very interested in the evolution of dubstep, in regards to it being mixed/tranformed with/into other genres, such as breaks (breakstep) and trip hop (dub-trip) for example. I'd love to hear others' views on this topic. I seem to have naturally gone down this genre-blending tangent in regards to my own productions, and it seems to have opened up a whole new creative pathway for me to travel down. Breakstep has become a new passion for me, and I think that it should be more thoroughly explored. What do you folks think about that?
