most scary film of all time

  • most scary film of all time

Hi can everyone tell me the most scary film of all time the one that got you looking behind you

    I am the punkdonkey
  • Scary shit

I must say IT cause it made me scared of the dark at the age of nine, I almost couldn't go to the bathroom afraid that the clown would bite my penis off.

The house by the cemetary was really scary shit too.

I go to bed with the undead
  • I would say either Hostel,Last House On The Left, or Faces of Death would be appropriate.

House by The Cemetery wasn't scary!! :D

The Descent is fantastic for tension and jumps, not creepy scary though.

Think I have to go back to Halloween. Remember the original Nightmare on Elm Street scaring me when I was younger but haven't seen it for years.

Audition is really unsettling. I like to see movies that are creepy rather than going for full on gore gross out sometimes. Alhtough the ankle moemnt in audition is pretty grim...

  • Yay the ankle moment is cinematic class!!!

The only film thats ever scared me is '28 Days Later' and i think thats because its a low budget Uk film so it looks more realistic and also because it could feasibly happen....

Tried to save myself....but myself keeps slipping away.

"The Exorcist" It´s scary in many ways, deep down pure scary.
It´s great in everyway, and I recommend the book too.

It's the Thai movie "Shutter". I have yet to speak to anyone who's seen it who does NOT say it's the scariest movie they've ever seen.

    **SPOILER ALERT**

The only scary part was when they first saw her sitting on his shoulders. But it was a fairly good movie.

  • "Terror toons"

Definately one of the most twisted and disturbing films I've ever seen

I have been an avid horror fan my entire life. When I was a kid, movies like The Omen, The Amityville Horror, and the Friday the 13th series caused me endless nightmares.

Two movies in particular scared the crap out of me - the first "Halloween", which I first saw when I was 9, and "Candyman." I remember sneaking into the theature and being scared shitless.

The Descent and Event Horizon still are the only movies that make me afraid of darkness and that don't let me sleep well :)

  • "Shutter" was a good one. That freaked me out quite a bit.

The film that I can say today truly frightened me and stayed with me (I slept with the lights on for nearly three weeks) was... "The Grudge." To my shame, I am not even talking about the Japanese version. I'm referring to the one with Gellar or whatever her name is. Yes, yes, laugh. :)

There's something about the way things happen that is extremely sinister, like the shadow walking on camera when the security guard is checking the monitor; the way it flickers, appears closer, then far again.

Oh man, I could go on.
