So the first act was the Hi-Hos. They were a folksy country trio. The slide player was the man of the set though. He really could go man, actually it seemed that he was holding back for the sake of the other two. Th singer was this tall blond waring some flapper outfit. They were alright.
Holly and Dave were freaking awesome, although I must say their set was a little short. Dave had his bizarre drum set, up with additional pieces. Holly was playing her ever familiar sun burst Gibson, I think its a Gibson. They played a few new tunes and a few oldies. all and all very nice set. I loved to hear her voice live. It really is so distinct and gritty. Dave can sing too.
After the show my wife cousin and I went outside in hopes of meeting them. Sure enough there they were smoking it up and bull shitting. My wife got their autographs and we talked, to Dave mostly, for some time. All and all it was an awesome experience and my first Holly show, hopefully not he last.........Oh there was another band after them but we were too busy talking to them to see them.
