Homage to the drummer genius Jan Axel Von Blomberg.

Jan Axel Blomberg born August 2, 1969,is a two time Norwegian Grammy award-winning heavy metal drummer from Trysil, Norway. He is most well known for his drumming with the band Mayhem, with which he began his career. He is endorsed by Sabian Cymbals, Axis Pedals and Pearl drums, though he has been known to use Yamaha drums as well.

He joined Mayhem in 1988, following the departure of the drummer and founding member Kjetil Manheim. In addition to Mayhem, one of his long-standing bands was the avant-garde metal band Arcturus, which he formed with Steinar Sverd Johnsen in 1987, originally under the name Mortem, and broke up in April 2007. He has since joined and sessioned for numerous bands.

He said in 'Until The Light Takes Us' that he 'honoured' Faust for murdering 'a fucking faggot'... I nearly spat out my drink I was so shocked and disgusted. And he's said really racist stuff in other interviews, like black metal only being for white people and that all Norwegians hated blacks.

I hate it that Hellhammer is racist and homophobic, it's like I'm morally obliged to hate him. But he's an amazing drummer and so.... hot. Must win battle of hormones!

Mayhem's concert yesterday on Rockmaraton at Pécs (Hungary) was f.....g great! Hellhammer played like a god, Csihar looked like a leech king necromant in priest-dress...

good news everyone. :) seems like I'm the new leader now here. so there's going to be some rules from now on. ;) :D rule 1. everyone must listen to much more Arcturus, Mayhem and Covenant. rule 2. nobody's allowed to listen to more dimmu than 2 songs per month :D :D :D just joking :) but I do hope we won't have Radiohead and RHCP in our charts! :D :D
