Check out Overloaded, Hinder, and CRASHDÏET. And there's another band that I can't think of right now...I never can think of them when people ask for suggestions...lol.

  • Hinder? They're like alternative rock... nothing near metal

I'm afraid that CrashDiet doesn't exist anymore. You all know this terrible tragedy what happened to Dave Leppard.

Anyways, good new metal bands?? Tell you the truth I don't give a crap about new bands. I've lost faith :( And there is SO MUCH good music from the past.

I wouldn't call them metal, but I wouldn't call them alternative either. I consider them hard rock.

Machinae Supremacy, they are "sid-metal" in that they are a video game influenced metal band, and use sounds/melodies from video game culture. They arent just a novelty band though :P, they are very riffy and have some spectacular solos.

  • sleep terror
    annahilator
    helloween
    nile
    vader
    death
    chimaira
    arch enemy
    testament
those are sopme pretty good ones

  • Testament, Annihilator and Helloween are all from the 80's I believe, unless that's the new bands he alluded to....but good new bands for me i think would be:

Lacuna Coil (One of those female and male singer bands, but actually good)
Lamb of God (Below par singer but good guitar, new album he improves his voice a bit)
Unearth (Friend recommended them, not half bad)
The Used (skeptical at first, but they grew on me)
    Trivium (always loved thrash :))
Drist (they're not half bad, surprisingly enough I figured they'd suck)
Black Label Society (Zakk Wylde, can't deny his awesomeness)

Huddled in the cellar, fear caught in their eyes. Daring not to move or breathe, as the creature cries. Fingernails start scratching on the outside wall. Clawing at the windows, "Come to me" it calls. Atmosphere's electric, as it now descend the stairs. Hiding in the darkness is so futile from its glare. Death comes in an instant, as they hoped it would. Souls ascend to heaven, while it feasts on flesh and blood.

  • Lacuna Coil and Trivuim = Good

I definitely agree that Lacuna Coil and Trivium are one of the better modern bands out there. "Karmacode" is one of the best albums that I've gotten recently. As for the male and female singers, I think that it works really well on certain songs. Cristina Scabbia has a really good voice...... and she's HOT! Generally, though, I like 80's-90's stuff the best, like Megadeth, Anthrax, and Sepultura.

How old are Nevermore? They're pretty good.

    Well you'll work harder

    IT'S A HOLIDAY IN CAMBODIA!
  • Black Tide is the newest good metal band I've heard. Some of their stuff has a metalcore vibe, which may turn people off, but overall their sound is a throwback to the glory days of 80's metal with a modern twist.

  • Daemonicium - very good black/doom metal band from Poland with great vocal.

  • people need to get out of here with shitty metal bands like lamb of god and fuckin hinder all bands like them are fucking shit

lol The Used is not metal, and they suck.
New bands? well, Evile is pretty good. Also I know some argentinian new bands like Serpentor that are really good.

  • Trap Them, Wolfmother, can't think of many.

APPARENTLY another 2% have moved on to music.
