How often do you listen "off the grid"?

last.fm clearly cannot track your vinyl or any tape medium listening...so how much of your listening isn't tracked on here?

Everything I listen to is getting scrobbled by last.fm. :)

Basically never. I've been trying to think up a way I could scrobble in the field, say when I am at a friends house listening to music or in someone's car.

I was thinking of a mashup between last.fm and an iPhone app like Midomi. :D

I think if you use iTunes and an iPod it will scrobble your iPod as well.. At least the Touch does it iirc.

Likely 50% of my current playbacks are not scrobbled. Only those I listened on my PCs and Nokia phone.

  • I'd say around 80% of my music is scrobbled. That percentage has and will continue to drop, though I'll still use the site.

  • I'd be willing to go with about 20% of my listening being "off the grid". iPod doesn't always scrobble everything and I have a small vinyl collection.

  • A good portion of it. Last.fm only gets what I listen to when I sleep and am in front of the computer, I do about 65% of my listening on my MP3 player. No scrobbling for cowons yet. :(

  • I've been too damn lazy to set up the scrobbler on my rockboxed mutant iHP-120. So my in-car listenings aren't represented.

I think about 80% is scrobbled.
Sometimes I listen on my Nokia or listen to the radio or even youtube.
I sometimes listen to CDs or even when I listen to something that isn't via iTunes (like VLC or WMP) then it doesn't get scrobbled.

I think I'm at about 50%, my iPod Touch is behaving weird and I don't think it actually scrobbles stuff...

Be nice if they could come up with a bluetooth scrobbling function for car radios and have last.fm info tags on FM radio stations so you could scrobble your radio plays to your in car mp3 device and then on to your computer.

But that would be excessive... ;)

anything in my s9 is, as of now, not scrobbled. I also listen on mediamonkey, those aren't scrabbled as well. I would say 80% of my current music isn't scrobbled. A lot, I know.

Well, once in a while I like to listen to CD´s traditionally with my CD-player. This isn´t even nearly everyday, and usually not more than one whole album. So it´s not very notable.

Each time I drive to work, I´m listening to some CD also. It makes about 40 min each day, minimum. Except for some weekends. So perhaps 20% isn´t scrobbled.

  • some of you guys should check this out. http://trac.ulfurinn.net/cog-scrobbler/
good way to manually scrobble albums. It could be a pain in the ass if you listen to non digital music a lot though.
