Anyone seen the great man live?

Anyone had the the privilege of seeing Frank live?

I saw him with the Catholics at their London, Edinburgh & Glasgow gigs in 2003 on the Show Me Your Tears tour. They were awesome, played most of my favourites as well as a few old Pixies numbers.

Saw him with the Pixies last year at T in the Park last year - something I never thought I'd witness, one of my dreams realised!

Gonna see the Pixies again this year at Leeds Festival, roll on the summer!

The Shepherd's Bush show was one of the finest gigs I've ever seen. It was reportedly the last Catholics gig - if that's true it's a real shame. Really great band.

I saw him for the first time in LA in late 2000. It was in the small room of the Knitting Factory. Fifty people tops were seated and it was just Frank with the acoustic for the first half. For the second half, Joey Santiago joined him for mostly Pixies songs. It was truly incredible. I sat maybe 5 feet from him during the entire show. He asked me if the sound was too loud. I was totally geeking out.

I saw him a few more times with the Catholics (which I never liked as much as him by himself), and at Coachella with the Pixies. The Pixies show was tremendous, but I think I have fonder memories of his solo show.

Oh yes, with the Catholics at the Waterfront in Norwich a couple of years ago now, great small venue. Felt joy when they came on playing New House of the Pope, my favourite, then despair when realised that due to my shortness I could only see the top of his bald head. Luckily Boyfriend picked me up so I could see. It was kind of depressing that most of the audience only got into it when he played Pixies songs, why don't more people take the time to listen to the rest of his stuff? I'm glad though that I saw/heard Caribou live under those circumstances & not in a big stadium tour.

2003 at Reading Festival, they were amazing! Played lots of his own stuff and Pixies songs. Probably one of the best performances of that festival.

Oh and saw The Pixies last year at Alexandra Palace, London - one of my all time favorite gigs. I was dancing and singing from start to finish :-)

I liked it when he lived in L.A. You could always count on shows on a frequent basis. His solo shows where David opened for him were so much fun, very intimate and FB was always chatty and fun. His Troubador shows were intense. How can you not love a short, bald, chubby dude giving you his all for 2-3 hours. No pyrotechnics, no image. Just (IMHO) America's greatest songwriter.

Saw him at Cornerhouse middlesbrough nearly 10 years ago. He played pixies as well as his solo stuff. It was great and he came out to meet his fans afterwards so I got to meet him :-)

Saw the Pixies last night and they rocked my f'n world.
