Download times are still messed up, but more importantly, today's Google doodle doesn't work in Firefox. :(

Still one of the best browsers. I like it more than Google Chrome which hasn't a good NoScript extension.

I never get around to bookmarks, and Firefox doesn't keep them all in memory anymore. The terrible performance has been mostly solved by updating Firebug to 1.10.0a3.

I've even tried reinstalling. Maybe it's accessing stuff on the slow-ass network drive. At home i run 700 tabs in 23 windows in 1.2 GB. I should also install BarTab 2.0 at work.

@c4t2007 , Well, it seems the problem is with your machine, not Fx. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and I got both Fx and Chromium. I tried every possible test that I could Take, there was no chance for Chromium to surpass Fx. Have you tried optimizng Fx database and cleaning cache ?

Touche, aqu32. Thanks for the comparison. My Firefox is currently using 1.7 GB private bytes in one fat, sluggish process, whereas my Chrome is using 4+ GB private bytes in numerous < 100 MB processes here, and is very fast and responsive. I only miss reliable downloading and passive tab loading in Chrome.
