I think with the listing of posts suggesting last.fm alternatives growing longer by the day, it is apparent that last.fm does have many substitutes. So instead of bitching I'm going to pose the ultimate question to the people of last.fm to answer.

Please Last.fm tell us why we should spend are hard earned $3/mo on last.fm instead of substituting away to another internet radio station and pocketing that money for 1/2 a Starbucks coffee!
