Nothing But Hope And Passion has some big news to announce: there will be our own online-radio soon! It's name is HOPE AND PASSION FM and you can find it on http://www.laut.fm/hopeandpassionfm
The radio will start on 31st of July at 20:00 (8pm - UTC+01:00) with a special kick-off-program. Make sure to not miss it. From this day on you can listen to HOPE AND PASSION FM all day and night long.

album of the week: AGENT FRESCO - A Long Time Listening

It is no secret that a lot high-quality music-acts are comming from Iceland - just to name some of them: Seabear, Sigur Rós, Björk, Bloodgroup. Agent Fresco is also one of those. If you want to express in one word what music they play you should call it rock, but honestly: it is much more than rock-music. On wikipedia AGENT FRESCO's music is described as "polyrythmic oddtime rock with jazz and funk influence" - and this is what their music really sounds like. In 2009 they won the icelandic equivalent of the Grammy Award - the Íslensku Tónlistarverðlaunin - and two years later - in early 2011 - they released their first album A Long Time Listening. An album that everyone who likes alternative music and is open minded should definitely listen to this masterpiece.

In 2005 Blindside released their masterpiece The Great Depression - two years later The Black Rose EP was released. Now - four years later, what is far too long if you ask me - BLINDSIDE released their new album With Shivering Hearts We Wait. The fact that it is our album of the week says that four years of waiting for some new songs were worth it.

Imaginary War - Love Overdose - Video Release

Imaginary War release their video “Love Overdose”. With their first video release, the electronic pop/rock band points at the disturbing shadows in a big pop song.
A man, shaken by his demons, decides to use the only channel to fight them: his music. The two major forces driving his songs are the deep passion for 80s sounds and lifestyle and the definite need to express. Completed by a guitar player, a drummer and a musical anarchist, digging all sorts of synthetic instruments, the imaginary war now comes to life. Big pop songs are founded in industrial soundscapes and driven by the quartet’s love for an intense rock show. It’s at the same time disturbing and beautiful. It’s walking the tightrope between ultimate downfall and final relief.
Imaginary war are in the final stage to finalize their debut album and at the same time prepare their live show. 2011 will be the year of setting up the full circle of live, studio and visual appearance and to expose the imaginary war to a broader public.
