Yes, their motto is The most beautiful sound next to silence. And one more thing about ECM, I just love their covers, especially the recent ones. Their abstract beauty is wonderful.

jfcharles Answer to Erunestian about the 5 seconds at the beginning of every album: it's not present on the first titles of the labels (and it's more like 7 seconds to me). I don't know when they began that. But their motto has always been the most beautiful sound after silence (well, I'm not sure of the English version, but it must be something close.)

jazznblues (sorry if this is a duplicate, my last comment didn't show up) raittis, try the Bobo Stenson Trio. Stenson has played with Stanko. Garbarek has played with the Trio on Dansere also on ECM.
