  Hi everyone!! Like schmoove said I don't think that band description is so 100% OK : Doomsword is an EPIC METAL band. If you read carefully their interview Joe (Deathmaster) always say that the main focus of Doomsword is to create a cult epic metal band. Obiviously doom and viking concept lyrics is still part of their sound but they're EPIC METAL. New album is AWESOME !!!

  I don't think that Viking Metal is so wrong here. But traditional Heavy Metal would be more accurate and Doomsword have absolutely no folk in any of their songs.

  Viking Metal is a term first established by Enslaved on their Frost Album. A kind of northern mythology influenced black metal.

  The description is taken from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsword And I do not agree that Doomsword has nothing to do with Viking metal, lyrically and thematically, they have a lot in common

  I think the description is wrong. Because the sound of Doomsword has nothing to do with Viking Metal actually and even less with folk. It would have been more accurate to say that doomword play traditional heavy metal in the vein of Bathory, Candlemass and Manilla road.
