Why is Discogs so Web 1.0?

  • Why is Discogs so Web 1.0?

Why dosen't Discogs integrate more Web 2.0-Stuff? It would be great if for example, I can see, if my friends in Discogs have some same releases like me... or which persons on the world have more or less the same music taste like me (just like in Last.FM)...

    (just like in Last.FM)...

    because it's not last.fm.

if you want to compare your collections with friends and other people - http://rateyourmusic.com/ does just that.

    in terms of Discogs, true

  • Discogs is good as it is, not to say that it does have a lot of "Web2.0" thingies, first of them being the user-generated content principle (i hate this word combination:)

discogs was uncool before being uncool was cool

  • discogs is ther best for what it did/does/will do to all of us when it comes to music.

The only thing they could improve is search function. It does not correct my spelling mistakes...Damn
