Beatles or Oasis?

A question that goes on forever with opinons!
I love both band very much but Oasis was the band who opend my eyes for british music so for me oasis wins in many ways, without oasis I wouldn't listen to Beatles without beatles oasis wouldn't be as good as they was!

so beatles or oasis for you?

I don't really 'get' the beatles, but i haven't really listened to them much. I'm not super into Oasis either, but same goes.

Oasis wins because spontaneous group singing of Wonderwall is so much fun.

I have absolutely nothing against Oasis but there has never been, nor will be, a band like The Beatles. In my opinion, anyways. So Beatles it is.

Another point for Oasis!

I also enjoy The Beatles as well, but I haven't listened to them as I have to Oasis... and I probably got into The Beatles because of Oasis, so, I know it's just my humble opinion, but I'll choose them...

well, im a huge oasis' fan but I think beatles is something really really great which oasis has never reached... anyway, i'm reeeally happy they're close at least. =)

I have listened to every Beatles song or near, and I can understand why they're perceived as a great and influential band. But I really never saw what was that special about them, neither why they're considered greatest band ever. But I saw it immediately with Oasis.

A Day In The Life ? Hey Jude ? Strawberry Fields Forever ? Oasis released better b-sides.

Sorry if I'm looking very harsh, I really really really love The Beatles, but I also believe they're way too overrated. If Oasis released songs like The Masterplan, Champagne Supernova and All Around The World back in '62, Noel Gallagher would be up there. Way higher than Lennon. But then, he maybe could not have written these songs if it wasn't for The Beatles. But that's another debate.

So Oasis hands down for me.

I think Oasis wouldn't be as good as they were if it wasn't for beatles, I mean their first 2 albums was so inspiered by beatles and that's why they are so good, look at oasis now, no feelings in the songs anymore IMAO.

Oasis have done the most incredible songs like, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, slide away, All around the world and Rock 'n' Roll Star but overall beatles are the bigger band. If Oasis was born in the 60's they would have got as big as Beatles I think, but the fact is that they are not and if they were they probably would not be as good as they were in the 90's.

I can't choose between beatles and oasis.
