    the album

    not really a fan. i feel like pat isn't playing any differently than he usually does. brad, on the other hand, is trying to do something a little different but i feel that they're not connecting on the album.

    also, i can't stand when pat goes to his guitar synth.

    just my opinion.

    PM & BM

    Personaly, I do like Metheny Mehldau Quartet album...
    Metheny Mehldau without Jeff Ballard and Larry Grenadier is quite boring... I don't like Metheny - especially his solo shows - his sentimental-smooth-jazz isn't anything worth of listening for me...
    But, of course, we shoud be glad for this cooperation ... and we should want more :)

    Genius plus genius is not allways a perfect receipt. Both played much better on several other albums.
    This is slightly boring.

    don't like it.
    agree with Dirktheplayer
    i don't like methney's style at all and mehldau seems to be a bit out of shape.
    the mehldau trio 2008 live album is pretty grey. souns unpleasant, boring
