    Favorite band from the label?

Death Cab for Cutie for me, obviously.

    Nada!

Dude, totally Nada Surf. I'll never forgive myself for missing part of their show [I got started on my hour and a half drive late :/]. Death Cab wasn't so bad about this, but I've also seen The Long Winters and John Vanderslice, and although I love their music, they seemed to be the stereotypical indie concerts where all the kids just stand around without even swaying.

  • duhh

    John Vanderslice.

i don't think you can fault this man and his incredible music just because his fans are humps on a log. nothing can detract from the albums he's been putting out.

that said, i think the library of every artist on barsuk records is worth investing in.

Oh, The Long Winters, Death Cab, Nada Surf, Harvey Danger (Hey, they put out their new EP, it counts), John Vanderslice.

    Nada Surf of course!

  • i love all of death cab's work on barsuk. its just way better. Plans was good, but Atlantic screwed it up. it sounds too good, if you know what i mean.

now that death cab isnt on Barsuk, then Vanderslice or Nada Surf.
