    Recognition

Hail all you Rock Goddesses around the world! (and the rest too of course):-)

There is certainly place for a shrine, like this, to give the recognition and respect to the femme fatale, the strong woman that goes her own way, that hasn't got the proper appreciation that she deserves through time.

So once again, Hail O' you "Bad" Chicks, you make the Rocking World go around.

My first recommendation goes out to the music scene, to be more precise, Female Bassplayers.

Don't really know why, but there is a spot in my heart dedicated to Female bassplayers, and i don't really know why.

    Examples:
    Melissa - Auf Der Maur
    Suzie Quatro
    Frida Ståhl - Meldrum
    Emma Norling - Ninja dolls
    Johnette Napolitano - Concrete Blonde
Jeordie White - A Perfect Circle
Stephanie Ashworth - Something For Kate
    Charlotte from - The Subways
Darcy from the - Smashing Pumpkins

And of course lots more, But it's a starter.

I got to give a special homage to Moa, the singer of the band Meldrum. She is awesome with the band, but her solo project brings her to a another level.

The cruel and sexy bluesy tunes that she brings us, full of emotion and nakedness along with a kickass attitude.

    Hey Vid,

I think you made a mistake in your list of female bassplayers.

Jeordie White's a male. He used to go by the name "Twiggy" in Marilyn Manson's band.

The female bass player in A Perfect Circle was Paz Lenchantin.

She's no longer a member of A Perfect Circle, but in my opinion she was the most talented musician to be involved with that band. Her solo work is worth seeking out, it's completely different from APC or Zwan (the band she played bass for after APC) it's much more serene.

  • Here's a couple of suggestions:

    Diamanda Galás
    Kari Rueslåtten
    Cadaveria

  • I believe they have been added!
