This group is a tribute to the musical format that was prominent on American radio throughout the 1960's to the early 1990's and also known as "Elevator Music," "Mood Music," "Easy Listening," "Light Orchestral," "Muzak, and in the case of Lawrence Welk - "Champagne Music." Also sometimes included would be selections of "Tiki Exotica" and "Lounge". It is also a tribute to a favorite local station WLKW 101.5 FM which had this format here in Providence, RI usa. Growing up at that time, I fondly recall the soothingly strange, ethereal world that this station conjured up as I drifted to sleep each night. I never found this music to be embarrassing or boring. Instead, it was a welcomed respite to my daytime and early evening (and partying) choices of psychedelia, punk, electronic noises and underground rock.

Please remember that there are differences between the various styles represented under the umbrella that is BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. For instance "Light Orchestral" is not necessarily Easy Listening, Elevator Music, or Muzak.

This group is very good .. much more than I had thought .. I have been listening all day.. such a variety songs new and old... A pleasant surprise...

How come no shouts? Anyhow music my parents enjoyed and I have enjoyed as well nice to look at the artist on here
