Album I: Wynonie Harris: Greatest Hits

On the first listen of Wynonie Harris i was left unfazed. It sounds o.k. but no song fully captivated me. The music doesn't seem terrible but the vocals kind of felt bland after a while. Mr. Harris does seem to have a good voice but i don't feel like he uses it properly, he belches his lyrics loudly not because he needs to but because it's what he's known for, i guess. With the first listen these songs feel like real winners to come up randomly in my library, but together it just feels repetitive and tiring. Lets see what a couple of more listens will do...
