This is a group for people who like to use my automatic signature images to display their taste in music. Feel free to report bugs in the discussion boards.

This service has been running since Spring 2006 and is currently serving 15281 images or 416 Megabytes to 11203 users.
The current traffic amounts to 90 Gigabytes per month.

I set up Nils Werner's code on my server...you can use it if you want but do not expect great performances! It's here: lastfm.bonfus.it

Does anyone know of a working alternative? I liked the customizable cover display of this one. The last.fm's own chart image is just a bulky ugly list.

Group images are unfortunately dropped, I think this was both to save server capacity and because of some strange problems w/ the new system from Last.fm. It was mentioned in one of the discussion threads, scroll through a few of them and you'll find it. Sorry that I can't remember excactly which.

nice app, thanks! but cos of the quite small pictures i'd like to see "artist - album" as tooltip if i hover the mouse over an albumcover

Go to http://lastfm.obsessive-media.de/generator.shtml - insert your username and how high and wide you want the image to be. This is given in number of albums, so default 5 x 3 = 15 albums. Decide the period you want charts for in "type". Click "generate!" and copy the stuff in the "generated code" rectangle for pasting into your profile. I just took the stuff in the quotationmarks, from "http" til ".jpg" and pasted that in between [img] and [/img], like in your case [img]http://lastfm.obsessive-media.de/5x3/kLiiMaXx.jpeg[/img] for overall charts - this is edited either into the "about me" section somewhere you see fit or used as forum signature. Remember that those shouldn't be too big. Either way you click "edit" under "about me" on your profile. Did that answer your question? Or was that perhaps a bit too much information? Trying to be helpful but I'm really tired now, ask if anything is unclear or yell at me for being a jerk if I'm explaining stuff you allready knew. Whatever.
