[bug] Error 403 when trying to open image

  • [bug] Error 403 when trying to open image

The generated image doesn't display at all in my profile, and I get a 403 error when trying to open in a separate browser window. The link is http://lastfm.obsessive-media.de/6x5/WarriorOfIce.jpeg

It's working for me. Can you try it again?

  • I've started getting errors too, like this:

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/www/htdocs/w006fc85/lastfm/load/load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:..') in Unknown on line 0

  • I'm getting the same error as magicrat880:

"Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/www/htdocs/w006fc85/lastfm/load/load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:..') in Unknown on line 0"

  • Please can you get this working again? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. This may be related to the recent DNS problems that many users (including me) were having over the last several days, where last.fm would time out, and fail to load. Early this morning, Last.fm came back online, but Automatic Signature Images hasn't, yet.

  • Actually, I'm having another signature app thingamajig in the last.fm forums, and that stopped working as well, until right now.. I'm hoping Reagan0 is on to something, and everything sorts itself out :)

    Yeah, uh me too.

It looks like a permissions problem with the directory:
Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/www/htdocs/w006fc85/lastfm/load/load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:..') in Unknown on line 0

    as mentioned above.

I guess that if you're image is cached it would appear to still work...

I am on a shared host and my hoster started complaining about the load on the server. Right now I can't afford a managed host (8 times the monthly cost) and may have to shut the service down. Anyone with a server can set up his/her own though, as the sourcecode is freely available.

  • I reckon the instructions are obvious if you have any business trying to get it to work yourself.. with that in mind, does anyone know any alternative generators? :p

So does this mean that unless the service is moved to another host/server, the signature images won't be coming up anymore? And most likely, this will be the case? There won't be another update?

  • o no this is one of my favorite apps !
i've been using it for ages
but for those who want another option there is this one here.

hope you get your server issues working !

how about restructuring the site whereby we can save the image and upload it to an image hosting service?
won't be dynamic, but still good

ah a shame to hear that phoque, this was a great sig generator. The gammalyre one doesnt work for me on the forum I use, although I use it for my profile page.

No working serves yet? It's clearly difficult to host this application due to its huge bandwidth requirements but what if we start many servers and use a client side load balancing? I can work on this and I have two small servers. Of course much more resources are needed...volunteers?
