Does the Mac version now reliably submit tracks played on iPods? I haven't tried it since early summer, but it was rather troublesome then and I never was able to get it to work reliably.

A lot of people think the most recent update to iTunes helps. But no we haven't changed that code yet, unfortunately. But we will be looking into it soon for fixes, hopefully with 1.3 series bug fix release.

    Hello.

I use Vista Enterprise here. And I'm behind a proxy.
Installed release version before. After installing last.fm client prompted me for username and password. After pressing next I was able to enter proxy settings.

Now with the current beta installed the client don't give me a chance to enter proxy settings and rsays that my password is incorrect.

    Any suggestions?

You should be able to change the proxy settings in the connection panel in the options dialog.

    Hi. Thanks for the answer.
But I'm not able to get into the options panel. Because if you can't login and press cancel the client exits.
I'm in big trouble with this. :)

    1. Can't use old version because the UAC bug
    2. Can't use beta because it always says that I'm using a wrong password. (but it is correct. can login to last.fm homepage)

Is there any way to check the proxy settings? INI or registry? And do the beta client use the old settings from the release client if I install the beta?

    Ok guys. Got it working.

There is a problem if you install the beta over the release without deinstall the old client first.

I deinstalled last.fm and installed it again. now I was able to enter the proxy settings (in setup) and login normally.

Thanks. I'm beta testing now with windows vista enterprise and firewall. ;)

  • Hmm, could you give me steps to reproduce the bug please?

If you install a new version over an old one, you will not get the setup wizard at all, it will just use your previous settings and launch straight into the program.

So I'm confused about how you managed to install the beta over the old version and still get to the wizard.

Just tested that 1.3.2.9 beta on Mac and I think it need serious fixes.

1/ Should I mention the "very" high CPU usage? (I know that the app has always been a great CPU eater on Mac, but it's not getting better)

    2/ Look at the video.
(Sorry, I can't explain that in english).

    Hope it will help.

    problem with Wacom tablet

    hey there!

finally everything works fine with 1.3.2.11 on vista ultimate 32bit, except for one thing: i had to uninstall my wacom tablet driver (newest version availabe by today) to use last.fm client. otherwise it won't scrobble my tracks played on my ipod and i also get a message telling me that my wacom driver is broken or not up to date.
i hope you can fix that. the problem seems to occur since i installed the beta version 1.3.2.7, before i had the normal version without ipod scrobbling.

    cheers

So the client is working perfectly for everyone else? I still get UAC prompts when I open any media player. Was this feature undone after the Windows Update that conflicted with Last.fm and Vista?

I am running 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium.

    Win Vista Ult 64bit

This too does not seem to work with Vista Ultimate 64bit.
