@Manowar1, that site can't be trusted, there are various rating add-ons, apps, and webistes that have a website rating system, they all they have a very low rating of that site, i reckon it's a fake site, i don't think Obama would say such blatant things (considering his position as a president) even if he really did think that way

I love music. Some rap songs, like allot of music, helped me in life and moved me. I hope people will always be open to any kind of opinion and speak with eachother, to learn from each other and respect each other. It comfortes me that taste, any kind of taste, is relative. I like this group aswell, people should always try to support what to think, not because of the opinion itself or any kind of dogma, but in order to create a constructive debate. Adjar

I think sometimes the reason people listen to hip-hop and think it's just dumb words is because they don't have the cultural references to understand the clever word play. I could be wrong here but let's have a test if you would care to play along. Lil Wayne says in a song that "all his kicks fly like Liu Kang". Can you tell me why this is humorous or clever (or might be considered so even if you do not find it to be yourself)?

Hi, please reread my comment. I was referring to an entire album not one track. Hip-hop, or rap, tells a story and to appreciate that story it helps to listen to a work (as with any work of art) in it's entirety.

Found that Z-Ro track on youtube with the lyrics. It is no different than other rap tracks, why did you promote it? It has some reggae influence, but the background music has no connection with the rapping. The rapper is constantly running his mouth, the lyrics are typical rap. Most of the time it sounds like a broken record playing the same 2 seconds over and over. A little background music does not make any difference. hey ya'll, new album out by Z-Ro called "I'm still livin". Anyone here who is open minded enough to try something other than the mainstream rap you hear on the radio should give it a listen. You might find a lot of elements that the people in this group claim rap lacks. It's refreshing and informative to take a look at someone else's perspective sometimes. Cheers.
