communism today

  • communism today

can someone answer me a question please??

I find it quite obvious that the communist ideology is just as evil, oppresing and generally bad as the nazi one, yet nazism is strongy rejected by everyone, while many people (especially the young) actually agree with the communist ideology and call themselves communists. Why?? I don't understand it.

    Thanks.

Agreed, stupidity is a major reason people still believe in communism.

  • well... I still think it doesn't explain everything...

Also, in poor nations people need a dream.

Communism fits the bill perfectly, it promises everyone can be equal and no one will slouch off the system.

In a poor nation this would seem like a golden dream and attract many followers.

But in poor nations communism actually has an "alternative" in religion. They believe in "word of gods" with same ease as in communism.

In Europe religion is in constant decline. There is no alternative for communism in the "area of dreams". Plus there is a big red agenda in each developed country usually hiding behind very popular slogans of "healthy Earth", "LGBT are opressed" and so on. It wouldn't actually be so bad, but they blame for all these problems capitalism (the funny thing is that reds support workplaces in environment-harmful factories for unemployed)

The next, more obvious reason is that communism is egalitarian and based on envy, that's why so many morons follow it. Nazism is egalitarian too, but it's based on hate. And envy is noticeably more popular than hate.

I think it's because people in the western Europe and America don't know what communism is.
They know, that Stalin has beated Hitler. So they think that he was good.
What is more - there were (or even is) a lot of artist, who were communists.

And what is most important - the biggest newspapers, TV- or radiostations all over the world are mostly left-winged. So they present people left-winged point of view.

It’s the same story in Australia; communism is quite popular amongst upper-middle class yuppies who study art at university. I think they equate communism as everyone living in groovy hippie communes, or simply they have money (from their parents) but want to appear in touch with the working man and wear communism like a badge of honour.

Communism and socialism are highly popular in France because people are extremely brainwashed by medias and elites.

The capitalist elite use that in order to make people accept things like massive immigration (social dumping, lowering wages) or the European Union.

France is already an awful place, and within 20 years it will become an Islamic country.

Probably because the way the media constantly tell people that the National Socialists of the Third Reich were "evil monsters" and nothing but hateful people who wanted to kill as many Jews as possible. People who try to look at things from other perspectives or question what we're constantly being told, are automatically labeled as "anti-semites", "nazis" etc.

Communism on the other hand, which has killed way more people than National Socialism, is rarely talked about in the media, and if it is, it's generally praising murderers as Che Guevara as "heroes" fighting for "liberty and equality". Communism's "equality" promise also makes it appeal to a larger group of the weak ones in society (people who fail at school, hooligans, heavy drinkers, hippies and whatnot) whereas National Socialism encourages everybody to grow as individuals and to become as "strong" as possible for the better of the people.

It's as simple as construction of flail... Communism was never really "defeated" nor rejected like nazism. In fact there are still countries like Belarus or North Korea... To be straight, it's the education problem. Both parents and school teachers reject telling kids what communism was. They only say, that such thing like communism "existed" but it's gone with few exceptions. Most of the kids sees revolution as something good, fighting the system, fighting for human rights and equality, but they aren't aware that communist revolutions didn't bring anything good.

Belarus is the most liberal country in Europe, as of January 2009 ;D

I was in germany for one year and I was shocked how many young people called themselves "communists". I think they are just taught how bad their "nazi-past" is and so they think "ahh, communism is against nazis... nazis are evil, so communists have to be good."
The rest is done by the media.

Commies today? Hmm lets think - European Union. Yeah, definitly EU.

  • Nazism=Communism

Nazism is communism but it involves nationalism and thats the whole difference - that is no difference. Either way one reason for people hating nazists is that they prosecuted oppenly only jews . Soviets prosecuted everyone so their sins were ballanced so to say:/ What is more due to the fact thet jews were the victims of fascists today they induce hatred towards nazists. That is the main reason if you asked me:/

The fame of communism today is simply based on looking coverly on this ideology. Let's face it: socialism is the most humanitarian economic system in its basis. But it doesn't consider people who are simply idle. What's more, every try of forcing perfect equallity is stupid, because there are always people who are in better situation. And the last thing - every perfect-equal ideology always leads to totalitarism. Yet, we have to fight for at least equal chances for every human being - this idea leads to unequal, but justice (I am not able to make an adjective :( sorry) society.

    @SirPlonk: Why?

@kaiserschrifft: That's bullshit. In this case, capitalist elites spread ideas, which hikes taxes, supports workers, etc. HOW the hell they earn money on 40-something percent taxes? It is another conspiracy theory.

Left wing controls modern culture and that's the reason why young people are easily indoctrinate by socialists ;/ recommend the book "The Death of the West" by Patrick J. Buchanan. It's a great piece of political literature and he cleary describes why left wing is winning in USA and europe

People believe in Communism because they never lived or had relatives who lived in Communist Era Poland, Russia or any other Central/Eastern European Communistic nation.

Standing outside of a shoe-shop for over 32 hours to get two shoes that didn't even match. And not because of being poor, and simply not having enough shoes, but simply in the name of equality. Sounds like fun, no?

    Communism today

The great communist purpose - "world communist revolution" vel "free the people" or conquer the globe (or at least Europe) successed and not successed. It prospered in a way that due to the II WW Russia implanted communism to China and swallowed ten nations of middle-eastern Europe (creating a vasal structure ruled by the local, corrupted renegades serving Soviet Union). And, thanks to the stupidty of the West, it also communised impressive number of countries all over the world - from Cuba and Nicaragua to Mosambice and Laos).
It didn't succeded in a way that it finally collapssed because of inefficient economy and administration.
XX-century Communism is the biggest human-killer since the world existed. We can just argue: it slaughtered "almost" 100 milions or "over" 100 milions.

We don't do it for the glory. We don't do it for the recognition... We do it because it needs to be done.
