This is a pretty non-entirely-accurate list, but here's one song from each of the albums that I really like and can recognize. Most of the earlier albums, I have trouble recognizing song entities.

    Chocolate Girl
    Hey Light
    Kids On Holiday
    Loch Raven

Shamelessly plugging my (kind of experimental) music

    the wild blue yonder looms

“I measured the skies, now the shadows I measure,
Sky-bound was the mind, earth-bound the body rests." - Johannes Kepler, Epitaph he composed for himself

"It is not from space that I must seek my dignity, but from the government of my thought. I shall have no more if I possess worlds. By space the universe encompasses and swallows me up like an atom; by thought I comprehend the world." - Blaise Pascal, Pensees

“The time will come when diligent research over long periods will bring to light things which now lie hidden. A single lifetime, even though entirely devoted to the sky, would not be enough for the investigation of so vast a subject… And so this knowledge will be unfolded only through long successive ages. There will come a time when our descendants will be amazed that we did not know things that are so plain to them… Many discoveries are reserved for ages still to come, when memory of us will have been effaced. Our universe is a sorry little affair unless it has in it something for every age to investigate… Nature does not reveal her mysteries once and for all.” - Seneca, Natural Questions

"Philosophy is written in that great book which ever lies before our eyes — I mean the universe — but we cannot understand it if we do not first learn the language and grasp the symbols, in which it is written. This book is written in the mathematical language, and the symbols are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without whose help it is impossible to comprehend a single word of it; without which one wanders in vain through a dark labyrinth." Galileo Galilei, The Assayer

banshee beat. it has to be banshee beat.

Although Leaf House forces me to dance.

And I've Got Mine from the Planet Claire sessions is beyond beautiful.

Fuck it dude. Let's go bowling.
  • (stop trying so hard, why don't you. you said it yourself, Purple Bottle was even better than Wolf Parade's I'll Believe in Anything and topped your hypothetical Best songs list of 2005)
    (starts shaking, teeth chatter)
(but the early stuff is almost exactly the same, and though i love it all, how can i pick a favorite)
    "Alvin Row", I suppose.
    (I think I failed)
ANYTHING FROM CAMPFIRE SONGS, is that allowed?

He stretched out his hand desperately as if to snatch only a wisp of air, to save a fragment of the spot that she made lovely for him. But it was all going by too fast now for his blurred eyes and he knew that he had lost that part of it, the freshest and the best, forever.
