Last.fm client doesn't scrobble tracks to my account anymore

Both my laptop and my desktop machine are unable to scrobble tracks to my account, they both say they're playing and seem to connect to servers just fine, they are just unable to send tracks. It has been going for almost a month now. My Nokia N900 scrobbling is also affected. At the moment my desktop machine has about 360 tracks it can't send anywhere.

I've done all the usual tricks of reinstalling and changing password and everything seems to work fine except nothing is scrobbled.

  • no scrobbling...what changed?

same here. ive been away from my 'desk' for a bit but have not changed any settings and all of a sudden last fm does not scrobble my tracks. whats the story?

It looks like no one's scrobbling right now.

    Seems like a server problem?

Looks like there are some problems tonight. The tracks will remain in your cache, and will be submitted when the problems are fixed.

  • Good to know it isn't a problem on the user end but it's nice to know they are working it out :)

I only wish that nothing has gone seriously wrong - or if it has that it doesn't last an unreasonable amount of time. I wish you luck, talent & competence to all who are trying to solve the problem.

Same here. It seems BIG BUG !!!
The tracks will not be cached I think, because I don't see them count in the LAST FM Player recently played tracks ! Hopefully the will fix it soon. But the old LAST FM was never been so problemous !

It's not a bug. They have a physical problem in their datacentre; overheating.

It is BUG as well at the end of the day :)
Hope they will sort it out, cause it is annoying to listen to music that hasn't been scrobbled.
We have listened music before LAST FM though, but . . .

  • i guess they will figure it out soon if many people have the same problem. but most probably unscrobbled ones'll disappear.
that's right. listening music before and after last fm.... two different era. a little exaggerated, but..
