Russ sagte: Unfortunately not. The country restrictions on these services are part of the contract we have with the device providers, and so these contracts would need to be re-negotiated for that to be improved.
If in a crise, a project or enterprise is going under, thene it is the result of a bad business plan. For me it's no question if lastfm is asking 20$ a month for a valued service. But the service on lastfm is bad and the issues concerning the communication with the subscribers and the normal user is real bad and not professional. To lock Threats and to delead issues is just a sign of the spirit behind lastfm.
The idea to devid the world in USA, GB, GERMANY has only one reason they do not have the balls, to tread those markets in the same maner as they do it with the rest of the world.
Additinal this is a sign, that they have no idea about marketing in a globalized world. The music branch did to many faults in there strategic thinking and this is just a other one.
And all the people who are always on the road about bankers, globalisation, enviromental issues and so on, should now react to stop such practise... or should shut there mouth in the future!
Russ said:I think this is a great idea, but we're not going to implement this (at least to start with) because royalty-free music constitutes such a small percentage of our catalogue. Hopefully we will have this functionality soon though :).I think it will be a shame if this isn't going to be implemented, cutting off lots of people from listening to the music that, in the end, has nothing to with the issues of the next few weeks or months.
But of course, it's nice that it's being considered.

If you run your business at lastfm, like you run your security items, I fully can understand, that you can't provide full functionality world-wide. To remember for you:
"Don’t you guys have 24/7 security at those facilities? The cost of the equipment in your racks is enough to warrant it. For some companies 10 minutes of downtime can cost them a huge amount of money. Perhaps Last.fm doesn’t fit that mold, but I’m honestly shocked there isn’t an on-site security guard for a multi-floor building of expensive computer equipment."
No lastfm does not have it, because they run a one way road. shame....
Hi! That's -pity- that you GO Commercial. It is certainly wrong direction. I thought myself as part of Social network. Not a user 8- -- -- -- --- --- ----
How can't you manage Last.fm to stay free? What the % of Grants in your budget?
