I miss being able to look at my entire library. Now you can only see the first 200 tracks.

We love anime girls because: 1) They're Asian, 2) They're good at roleplaying, 3) They're usually legal, 4) They never say no.

Basic functionality and layout. I don't care about the more gimmicky things like the Reply Tracker. What I miss the most is being able to view the damn site to begin with and not having to endure a migraine in the process. So many washed out soft colors with no distinction or borders... who created this design? A 9-year-old studying web design based on a 1995 "Internet for Dummies" handbook?

the layout doesn't really bother me, but the search is frustrating now since you can't choose to search for just an artist, song or album..instead they all come up at once and you have to look through pages to find what you want. it would be alot easier if you could filter the results.

Gimmicky? Can you name any popular forum software that doesn't have some type of thread subscription feature?

In any case, it's back. It doesn't look new and improved, as promised, but I'll take it in a second over nothing, or even the RSS feed.

This is just a temporary port of the old one, while they still work on the new improved version.

I'm soooo disappointed

Came over to add a few songs, hate the new layout, extra buttons to get around, worked through it anyway, then when I was ready to embed my widget on myspace. But first I had to go hunt that down in tiny print at the bottom of the page. Finally got that going, sorta... it's changed too, no auto start, less song titles visible, it's listing a song as being added to my play list that i did listen to but did NOT add to my play list, so there's no way to delete it. Plus, there No visible "Auto play" to turn on. Where'd ya hide that or did you just nix it completely??

Getting more frustrated by the minute.

So I decide what the hell, I'll embed the ugly widget and worry about the phantom song, (you know, the one I can't delete, that's on my widget, but not on my play list,) and the auto start situation later...

But no, no, no! I copy the new embedding code over to mypage, and low and behold what a disappointment! I get a crappy lil widget with no auto start, a song I don't even want showing up at the top, and worst of all, no full length songs just 30 secs of sampling for each listing.

You have GOT to be kidding me. I spend all this time and now It's not even fit to embed on mypage or continue to recommend how great it is to my friends... several of who, recently came over to get last.fm players because they liked mine.

btw, what the hell is the difference between a library and a play list? Was there really a need to complicate everything so much and take away the good stuff all at the same time? I'm totally frustrated. Really and sincerely.

Your library is a history of everything you've ever listened to, tagged or asked to be added. It's also the place where you can delete artists, songs, tags, etc., from your history. A playlist is simply a collection of music that you've manually put together, for playing on Last.fm radio. The two are not remotely similar.

The first thing I did look for was the "Paint it Back" when I hit the new last.fm interface. Glad to know it will be back. Let's paint it to whatever color we choose. I kinda like "purple".

I'd like to see how many of my last.fm friends are online and listening in a glance. It is no longer possible. What I think most badly needed in the new last.fm web interface is a button to hide all the "pretty" avatars so that we can see things like "Friends on line and listening" in one page.

Preview button is such a good idea. Lord knows why we don't have one already, sending PMs is a huge pain without one. I'll see about getting this added tomorrow or possibly next week (as it an addition rather than a bug fix ;))

Wiki history, to my memory no one has asked for this before, but it seems pretty reasonable to me. Again i'll try and get that added tomorrow.

i miss:

being able to see the last few tracks my friends have listened to at a glance, without having to visit their pages. it gave me ideas as to what i might be interested in.

having my friend's events and recommended events appear as a single list. obviously i might be interested in going to the same events as them!

having thumbnail pictures in the events list, which made it easier to see duplicate events by the same artist (quicker than reading names)

being able to see all my recommendations on one page, instead of having to click through. if the recommended artists page had the same format (with fewer pictures) as the preview list you get on the last.fm homepage, that would be much better.

I posted a long huge rant about how the functionality of the site has greatly decreased (just like about ten thousand other people) but I'll spare reposting it here.

I see my regular neighbors, but has WEEKLY neighbors been aborted? My weekly neighbors changed frequently and I would often check those as means to discover other artists I may have not been listening too. The recommendation feature has never really been of much use to me and the new one is....well...still not of any use to me.

The pop up player

I listen to last.fm at work. If I have a whole page open, I could get my ass kicked for slacking off. With the little pop up player, I have no problems.

The Playlist

Again, my workplace showcase playlist was to play at work. So I got to listen to songs that make me happy, such as I Don't Like Mondays, and We Gotta Get Out Of This Place.

Non-eye-killing layout

So much white! So many annoying ads! So much time wasted waiting for pages to load.
