    - 'recommend to all friends' function (it's set up for only one at a time now)

    - group music recommendations (last.fm groups are almost dead without it)

    - recommended music from friends and groups on the user dashboard/homepage which enabled me to see when artists i liked had new music for streaming or download on the site

    - sidebars on group pages (there was often a lot of additional resources in these and now there is only white space)

    - the old layout in general

    - a site that is not so extremely riddled with bugs

I need dates of the groups' weekly charts.

And I still hate the new design.

Uhhhhh, there are a lot of things... I really think this new design is VERY bad. Whenever I search something and think "this should be there", I usually miss...

And for the things I miss from the old last.fm, well, the look of "Recently Listened Tracks". I think this new one is terrible...

  • neighbors and friends

i really miss being able to see at the bottom all my neighbors who were listening to similar music that i like. checking that list out was how i made friends with a lot of people i didn't know, and it's been great because we share musical tastes, & we've shared a lot of great stuff with each other.

also i really miss being able to see more than just one track that my friends recently listened to. now i have to actually click on their profile, instead of just being able to see it at a glance on my dashboard, which was much better. i hope you will bring back being able to see more of your friends' recently listened tracks, ideally i would love to see the last FIVE they listened to... if that's too much to work with, maybe you could designate your "Top" friends that you really want to keep track of, and only get all the details on them?

  • Above all, I miss correct album charts (they've been a mess even before the update but I really hoped they'd try to fix it finally then). Furthermore, I'd love to have the weekly top artists back on my profile page.

    :D

And I miss that "play" button in the charts.....
Now, that "play" button takes you to the artist's profile (and autostart, which by the way is not working for me)... I don't want that.... If I want to go to the artist's profile, logical way would be to click on it's name..... But nooooo, there is nothing logical with new layout... :(

Almost embarrassed to mention this again, but...

    WEEKLY NEIGHBOURS?

"You have the right to free speech. As long as you're not dumb enough to actually try it." John Graham Mellor (1952-2002)
  • i started to "work" me through the new layout
and yes, i started to like it even if it is not the most user-friendly design

we are all music-freaks here and some of us have one special music-style some like different styles, i for myself like at least 6 styles.

i liked the add a track option while i was listening to `radio` - and now its gone again :( - there is a big difference between add a track an love a track...

i also think the recently played tracks should be updated on my profile more frequently - now i am sitting with two open browsers one i am listening to radio and the other with my profile and i am contantly switching between theese so i can add a song i liked to a playlist - really time-intensive...

and like WeBad mentioned the play-button in the charts

and of course there are every now and then updates - and there should be - but it is a little bit disturbing to get used to new options if it is changing so often...

Multiple artist radio: Being able to put more than one artist into the radio station and have last.fm make me a customized radio station is what initially drew me here. It's also the feature I used to get people to join.

Please please please, pretty please with cherry on top, bring back the ability to specify a distance for the recommended events. I know the code is still there, because it was working for me even with the new site, until I changed it. Now it's only showing me events in my own city, which is a bummer. :^(

  • I wish I could still see the "Currently listening, Just listened to" list.
My recently listened tracks list is only showing songs that I listened to like two months ago. It's annoying.

did i already post in here? oh well ...
    1. weekly top artists (including last week's positions)
    2. neighbours
    3. the recently listened tracks taking up less space (especially the very last one).
    4. the old dashbord

and no, despite several weeks having passed, i haven't gotten used to the new design. at all.

Since you didn't specify that you miss them on the profile page, they aren't gone, you know where they are, or should. I do miss the weekly positions though. Even the greasemonkey chart changes script is missing it as the developer is waiting to see if last.fm is going to add it back.

    2. neighbours

Good news, a better neighbors system is on the way! We hope. Musical Soulmates

    3. the recently listened tracks taking up less space (especially the very last one).

Agreed. it's not quite taking up the space in the same smart way.

    4. the old dashbord

From a weekly neighbors and the way they used to show your friends listens I agree. From a new recommendations standpoint, I don't agree. I love the new recommendations.

  • Missing:

I miss being able to LOVE an artist. That would usually give me a new artist and all their myriad songs to add to my library. I liked that.

Also, since every single dang song is dumping into my library. a much easier way to delete it as it's playing. I listen to a lot of "new" stuff and some of it is just okay and others I'd like to make sure I can get to later to find more. It all tends to get jumbled in my list and I can't find things. just more functionality on the list of options of what to do with artist/track as it's playing really is what I want!

  • Hmm... I don't remember any functionality to love an entire artist out there, but I could just have forgotten it. If you want an artists entire library added to your library either tag the artist while it's playing, or go to the artists page and click "add to library" there to have the ability for almost anything of theirs to show up in your library stream.

As far as "every single dang song" dumping into the library, well this has been the way it is always been. If you are scrobbling, it's getting added. There really isn't much anyway around this... If you notice you are listening to a song you don't want in your library, you should skip it before it get's scrobbled (set your scrobble preference to 100% in the client may be recommended). You can access deletion of recent tracks from the tracks page of your profile: http://www.last.fm/user/ShyTrbleMaker/tracks With the new live updating charts, there is no more delay of recent tracks to find there way here like on the old site. This would be a quick access to delete tracks that were recently listened to, slightly easier than trying to find the tracks in your library. Hover to see the x button to get rid of them.

I of course never find myself paying that close of attention during my listening to stay on top of things, but I wonder how easy it would be able to disable scrobbling as a song is playing, but have it reenabled when the next song starts... That might be kind of an interesting feature... Of course you can always toggle scrobbling on and off manually currently.

Why this page http: //www.last.fm/user/[username]/tracks is not in the place of "Music-Recently Added" in the Library (http: //www.last.fm/user/[username]/library/recent)?

  • I REALLY miss being able to see what events my friends recently added to their schedules. True, I can still browse the events list and see my friends' names listed next to some events. But that requires me to go over the entire list once in a while and see what's new. If I could just see what my friends' have recently added, I can more easily keep track of concerts I would possibly want to attend.

I really, really miss this one and it seems like not a hard one to realize. Please bring it back!

Stay here with me. We'll start a jazz band.

The recently added area is only for "new" tags, loves, and song adds to a library. It will not have tracks or artists there that are already in your library.

    I see now.
In that case, we need a link somewhere to http: //www.last.fm/user/[username]/tracks

If you click the 'recently listened tracks' header on your profile page you'll get taken to that page. There's also a 'See more/Edit »' link at the bottom of that section that takes you to that page.

    Oh! I'm short sighted.

But some pages are a bit hidden... What about a "site map" (especially a "user site map")?

These are the pages I've found related with a user. Are there others? For exemple: http: //www.last.fm/user/[username]/images

  • The old dashboard where things like what my neighbors, weekly neighbors and friends were listening too along with their stats, such as events they were going to and recommendations, free tracks and recommendation audio player were all on one page.

And probably for the millionth time in this thread, weekly neighbors.

Without dashboard interactivity and having to click one million different things and still not finding what I need or want, the site is frustrating, tiresome and boring now.

  • the ability to find songs. woooo search "music" wht not artist, song and album?

They that gain power seek it!
