tag filter for "recomended" station

  • tag filter for "recomended" station

im not sure if its been mentioned before, (i didnt care to deep search)

but im sure people have had the issue of the recommended station
end up playing only one type of music, or such

ie; i have a wide range of genres/tags i listen to,
but the recommended station plays so much glam/hair rock
that i dont ever hear anything else that i could add to my library

being able to put a filter on what tags are played would
clean this up w/o eliminating content from this feature

imo it would be a nice option to have for this feature

  • You can do this with Combo.fm

  • is combo an affiliate, and can i transfer/scrobble everything over?

or do i have to start over?

i just dont want to betray such a great site over something of a small inconvenience
(iv seen enough sites fall already)

  • Combo.fm is not an official Last.fm tool, but it's developed by a moderator: tburny
Also if it's a bit confusing: Combo.fm is "only" a tool, not a completely new radio site. There you can combine different (Last.fm) radio stations, eg "your recommendation radio without glam rock tag radio" and then play that station here at Last.fm.

So that would mean you wouldn't "betray" Last.fm at all ;)

See this post for more information.

Combo.fm is definitely the easy way to do what you want. You can even do multi-tag filters and exclude tags. I use Combo.fm all the time.

You can also add "/tag/whatever" to the end of any Last.fm radio url to filter that radio on whatever tag you choose (whatever in this case representing whatever single tag you choose, such as rock, jazz, classical, etc).

    Music, like language, is universal.
  • sorry bout reviving an old post but a wanted to say
    thanx
ill be checking it out then

    oh, other question

does adding to library cause auto-recomend?
or is that done some other way i dint notice since
    scrobble handles it automatically?
