With all due respect, KILLINSTINCT & n-farious, there is more than one way to scrobble a name of a track. I know Girls' Generation/소녀시대 is Korean and these tracks were released on their debut Japanese album, however, in the UK this album is available on our iTunes with (pretty much) the above track listing, so in my opinion the names in English are valid and correct. If you want to scrobble the purely Korean or Japanese versions of the titles, why does my scrobbling the partially English titles effect you?

Also, KILLINSTINCT, since it is exactly the same artist it seems utterly barmy to split the play counts between two spellings in different languages for the same artist, just because one album was for the Japanese market!

Furthermore, if an artist is going to use English in the song title, whatever their own nationality, it should adhere to English standards as a general rule of thumb. English people don't write or type in capitals for song names; it looks ugly and ridiculous, so please stop telling me how to speak and write in my own language, thanks very much, it's patronising and also incorrect. It's bad enough that Korean songs seem to have this affinity for using the pointless abbreviation "Ver." on song titles, which I have overlooked rather than trying to also correct.

You should tell this to Nicki Minaj or Robyn for their hideous/incorrect usage of Japanese (and lol, in Nicki's case, confusing Korean for Japanese) in their song titles, music videos, whatever.

So I can't make the distinction between an album version of a song to a single version-- when the artist makes the difference so clear they simply must include (Original Ver.) on the end of their song titles? Last.fm can barely detect the differences between what album you make scrobble a song from (as in, it only clocks you scrobbling from a Best Of/the original album in your personal library, the play count counts as 1, not for however many albums/etc. it may appear on.)

In fact you see Western artist specifcally stylise song titles, and even artist names, want to go tell them to ~adhere to Proper English Standards~ too?

Perhaps you should stop being xenophobic.

Also lol never use iTunes as your standard for making sure album/track names are correct. That's just embarrassing. (I've never seen a physical single carry the tag "- Single", only iTunes seems to do this... and quite frankly, that looks stupid.) I suggest going and importing the physical albums and then see how it really is.

And somewhat more on the point of this thread.. is to correct capitalisation, right? You're suggesting incorrect corrections.. what an oxymoron.

You have a point. But once the tracks you've asked to be corrected have been to your liking, then others are just going to ask them to be changed again, since there's probably more people who want the songs cap-sensitive..which will then make the whole thing a meaningless effort.

Just because they do it incorrectly doesn't mean you should return the favour...

My point is that why the propensity for using "ver." rather than "version"? Why not say "Orig. Ver." or "Original Version" rather than a inconsistent blending of the two? Of course you should be able to differentiate between different versions, that's not what I said...

I said "as a general rule of thumb" not "always".

Glad you aren't resorting to melodramatic escalation.... If I was truly xenophobic, why would I, as an English person, be listening to k-pop? ....

The information drawn from Gracenote is hardly perfect when you insert a CD album to import, in fact more often than not is riddled with errors. Sometimes a "- Single" tag is necessary when the artist releases an album with the same name as one of its singles.

No, it's not. As a native English speaker, I am correcting poorly used English as I see it.

Also ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead should have by, the, and of lower case. It used to, someone changed it into wrong capitals.
