Duplicate venues

Duplicate venues

Hi there,

I entered a new event.

I noticed that there was already, at least two occurences of the venue I would like to select.

In the new event form, I entered the venue name which is sctricly equal to the 2 already existing identical venues.

What I feared happened, it created another duplicate venue.

Existing venue #1 : 国立代々木競技場第一体育館
Existing venue #2 : 国立代々木競技場第一体育館

My new event : 浜崎あゆみ (2007-12-30 18:30)

The resulting venue #3 : 国立代々木競技場第一体育館

Notice that the names of the 3 venues are strictly identical.

How to merge them?

How to select them at event creation?

Flag the incorrect venue, and mention that it's a duplicate of Venue X, where you provide a link to Venue X. From there, a mod will merge it for you.

Moose > Ponies (and goats)

USe the flag-function on the venue-page, and make sure you enter enough info for us mods to work with (esp. venue-id's).

Remember to say "thank you" for the things you haven't had

I just did it but how not to create any new duplicate ?
When entering a new event with the same venue name, a new one is created…?

Goto the venue-page and create your event from there ;)
