Possibility for Creation of Fonts for my profile

  • Possibility for Creation of Fonts for my profile

    Good day,

I have a question concerning to the creation of BBCodes for my profile page. I wanted to show some nice poems into a special font. I tried but unfortunately it didn´t work.
Is there actually a possibility to change the normal font of texts into another absolutely familiar font, for example and especially into the "Edwardian Script ITC"?
I would be very glad and thankful for any help and answer.

    Thank you very much!

  • You can use
[*font=name] text [*/font] (without the asterisks)

    Edwardian Script ITC
    Times New Roman

EDIT: seems it only really works for fonts with one-word titles, I don't know if there's a work-around for "multi-word" fonts, if someone knows one please make sure to post them here...

  • You can use Vivaldi.

Facet zaprosił mnie do kina i w połowie drogi pyta mnie: "A stać Cię na bilet..."?...i tak ma być.

  • Firstly, thank you for your proper answers...

hope that someone is there, how knows how to generate "multi-word" fonts.

All words should be in this special font (the title on size 24, and the text in size 16; but the size isn´t really neccessary). Unfortunately I don´t know how I can make this. Is someone there, who know, how to generate "multi-word" fonts and can help me, how to do this? I would be very very glad and thankful for any help. Thank you very much in advance.

can you not just use &#32 instead of the space?

  • Sorry I don´t understand you what you mean exactly concerning using the "&#32" instead of the space? oO
I haven´t no much experience in using the BB Code and don´t know how to generate fonts for whole texts.

what do you mean "generate fonts for whole texts"?
    and "multi word fonts"?

    makes such little sense :/

  • I want to generate the familiar font "Edwardian Script ITC" for the whole text/poem not only for a single word, that is what I mean :/ Hope you understand me.... And I tried to change the font, but it doesn´t work... What am I doing wrong and is it possible?

So, in your about me, copy and paste:

    [font=Edwardian Script ITC]

    Your poem here

Then replace 'your poem here' with your poem, hit save and it should work.

  • Thank you very much for your answer...but it works only with the font "Vivaldi" not with "Edwardian Script ITC".... but thank you very much :)

"Edwardian Script ITC" seems to be all curls.
Someone at lastfm must have a list?
After trying & deleting many I was left with
    vivaldi -typeface -textface
    courier -typeface -textface
    Papyrus -typeface -textface
    impact -typeface -textface
    Verdana -typeface -textface

    webdings -typeface webdings -textface
    wingdings -typeface wingdings -textface

I noticed that large fonts pasted in the 'About me' have the lines are more tightly packed.

You can also use generics like script, monospace, serif, etc:
    ~~script -typeface -textface
    ~~serif -typeface -textface

(both the same on my computer)
    ~~monospace-typeface -textface
    (same as specifying 'courier')

  • Thank you so much for your help...

Yes dankine, the Edwardian script ITC is the font I wanted, but it doesn´t work, unfortunately (and don´t know why it is so) so I decided to use Vivaldi, which is similar and it does work with this font. I also use different sizes of the Title and the poem itself.... Thank you all for your help, I appreciate it.

  • How about copy/pasting the poem into photoshop or paint and uploading it as a picture to your profile?

  • Thank you all for your helpful advices. I have solved the problem, I have used the font "Vivaldi" and I am very comfortable with the result, you can watch it on my profile.

Thank you all for your help :)
