    Albums disappearing from the Library

Hi there! Haven't found this posted anywhere, so I created a new thread.

I went through my library and I saw that many of the tracks I've scrobbled don't have their respective album titles written next to them as they used to. Why's that?

    Examples: http://www.last.fm/user/holland25/library/music/Minutemen

It looks ugly... So, thanks for any help.

Am I the only one who has this problem? As soon as I listen to a song from an artist, a different song loses its album... It's horrible...

Is this actually ever gonna be fixed? It happens to almost every artist I currently listen to. I've been trying to keep my library clean and nice looking, and now it looks bad...

what is the actual problem? this format is a massive improvement over how it used to be.

a lot of tracks are now not associated with any album when they used to be, the field is blank. Which defeats the whole point of submitting metadata

They still seem to be connected to the album judging from the album's library page, it's just a display thing

also it appears you can't delete tracks from the library without browsing to each individual track's library page (library/music/yadayadayada/_/track+name) or using the cog, which are inconvenient if you want to delete a bunch at once

Exactly. When you click on a respective album, the tracks are shown correctly.

gotcha since the edit. not seeing the tracks with no albums very often at all. yeah listing a lot of albums isn't ideal, but it's a stepping stone for the mb project. still think it is better than it was.

I'm not talking about the format, I like the improved library. What I mean is that many tracks don't have their respective album assigned to them. Probably only a display problem though. Hope it gets fixed. I don't have a single track in my library without its respective album. I take care of my ID3 tags.

Like I said, really not seeing that. By and far the majority of tracks have albums in my library.

Only said it three times now, am not seeing that behaviour.
You may want to f5 once in a while.

Won't help. It's like that for 4 days. I checked your library and it happens to you too. Not with so many tracks, but it does.

Check Kyuss, Nasum, Electric Wizard, Clutch or Crowbar. All of those have some tracks without an album.

Some, not many at all though, mostly poorly tagged from various radio sources. Very very few, like I have now said four times. And the f5 wasn't to sort the problem, was so you're up to date on the forum.

Well, but mine weren't poorly tagged. I always listen through Winamp and I really look after the ID3s. I always use correct ones.

Anyway, the number of tracks without an album varies from artist to artist. Some have no tracks without an album, some have 5-6, some have 30... Guess I'll have to wait until it's fixed...

have found autocorrections in your library so there is every chance some things weren't properly tagged.

    guess we will.

I've got autocorrections turned off, cause they sometimes correct a correctly tagged song/album into an incorrect one...

all that does is hide them from you...can still see the corrections.

    For example this: http://www.last.fm/user/holland25/library/music/Vanilla+Ninja

Only one track from their self-titled album is shown with an album next to it. The remaining 14 (http://www.last.fm/user/holland25/library/music/Vanilla+Ninja/Vanilla+Ninja?sortOrder=desc&sortBy=plays) are not.
