It's still being worked on, a vague estimate of completion puts it at 'this week', however this is not guaranteed. :)

Thanks for the update. Although vague, "this week" is the nearest we have been to actually seeing this issue resolved!

What is the main-problem of getting imagegen working again?

It seems, that the DEVs are working on a complete new solution of imagegen.

I hope they're releasing it soon ;)

Sorry about this everyone, the work needed to get this live again keeps getting trumped by more important fixes. I've had a word with the team responsible and it's next on the list to fix.
