funkytechnician The sound on the main stage on Friday was, basically, piss poor. They had it sorted by Saturday but Massive Attack didn't make the impact I was expecting. But hey, I loved it, such an improvement on last year, layout and weather (thanks god) though putting the main stage at the top of a slope wasn't the brightest idea and gave those who are slightly shorter a problem... Favorite areas: Rizla, always kicking off, Bollywood, brilliant as always. Come Dancing in the Speigel tent was just bonkers. Thoughts: more toilets, more water stations, but for venue, location, people, music, it's the best festival in the UK in my opinion. Bring in 2010!!

Cliffatron dancing by yourself is fine, i spent most of the time in the bollywood tent by myself as a i lost my friends basically as i got in. I didn't see massive attack but my friend said they weren't too good, i think it was just the sound on the main stage in general. It just made all of the bands sound so dull

I agree with those below, Martyn was the highlight of the festival, but I saw many many others that I really enjoyed: Sound of Rum, Micachu, Kraftwerk, Bat for Lashes, 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, 65dos, Klaxons, Passion Pit, Delphic, The Field, Casio Kids, Pivot, everyone I saw in Bollywood, The Cuban Brothers, The Shellac Collective - I danced through 20 sets, sometimes by myself :( . People were lovely - especially on the front row!

DFA1979 Metronomy never cancelled - but for some reason they got moved to the Red Bull stage at 2.30 Friday afternoon. I saw half of it and it was a good show, but the stage was far too small for them.

ShellSci Best bits for me... Sound of Rum, WI tea tent, sunshine, Scroobius Pip, Fleet foxes, good food, dance lesson, the bandstand, Elbow, The Cuban Brothers :) Worst bit... the young, inexperienced crowd who had no idea of festival etiquette or how to behave in crowds, and not enough bins :(

Firstmuse find of the festival: the correspondents! sweatiest tent: bollywood for annie mac, literally the roof was dripping. la roux, florence and the machine, jack penate, klaxons were all ace.

my-my Not ONE decent Bowie costume? Anyway, best acts: Kraftwerk, Lindstrom and Bat For Lashes. Most pleasantly surprised by: La Roux, Friendly Fires and Passion Pit. Most fun: Fake Bush and Fake Blood. Best dancing to be had at: Wedding Disco. Highpoint: Black Dahlia bar staff and their cocktail knowledge. Lowpoint: assorted horrendous people.

the bollywood tent was rammed full of them for certain acts which was pretty annoying, i also had a beer can threw at my head in the campsite and the guy then blamed it on the fact he spent £40 on some girl and didn't get any. the sound was awful for the main stage, 65days, kraftwerk and bloody beetroots were the highlights for me. besides that just hanging out by the flags at the main stage was cool just catching bands etc. next year i think i'll either go abroad or stick to latitude depending on line ups.

dadadervish Best performance...... Metronomy...... Worst (by a mile) MGMT.... Micachu & the Shapes deserve a big shout for being soooo cool and intensely fun. Club Dada was fun. Great festival, highly recommended. Tidiest festival ever.....

B3T3L Great festival, mostly well organised, **** on the music front, too much walking, some poor scheduling (FSOL, Hudson Mohawke). Liked the performance art. The weather was great as well. Best music: Krafty Kuts, Massive Attack, Flying White Dots, Crazy Pip, Soulwax. Worst music: Klaxons, MGMT, Fleet Foxes. Fail: Missing Delphic. I thought that considering the number of people the festival was realatively unmarred by chav related shenaningens. One did decide to give me what he termed a "shampagn supernove though, oi oi". There weren't enough bins or loos : /

Best bands for me were Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip and Squarepusher. Disappointed with MGMT and Fleet Foxes.

a minority of the atendees ruined it for me, the daytime was great but the nightlife was a bit shit with chavvy people being arseholes. great festival though. probabley wont go again
