hhoobb teabagging in the tipi tent would've been quite torrid!! the hand were fab though ;)
September 2009 -
RisingVenus tea bag!
September 2009 -
TheClassicFop I thought Darren Hayman in the Tipi on Sat night was great. Ok, the view was limited ( I agree with the other comments), but the sing-along at the end of 'The Greedy Ugly People' was ace!
September 2009 -
ArtzeDan nice photos kezman85 ;)
September 2009 -
grynch88 pointlessly awesome
September 2009 -
acedrums am i the only one who thinks Bob Log III plays totally pointless music?
September 2009 -

Pompeyhell Dan Sartain was superb as was Hold Steady and Brakes. Usually more of a Download and Reading chap myself, but went 'cos my best mate loved it last year, definitely up for next year. Very friendly and well run festival.
September 2009 -
chrisseller Dirty Projectors, Explosions in the Sky, Low Anthem and Brakes were all very impressive. However, Bob Log III stole the weekend for me; simply fantastic and a must see if you get the chance
September 2009 -

dab_dare Excellent as per usual. Feel amazingly lucky regarding the weather, and whilst not essential for a good time, certainly helps! Apart from probably the best trio of EOTR headliners yet, personal highlights were the discoveries of Twi the Humble Feather, the Low Anthem, Joe Gideon & AU. Efterklang no longer completely clashing with Okkervil River was also a bonus (tho i was quite up for the Horrors). Agree that the Tipi tent layout/visibilty was disappointing!
September 2009 -
Kezman85 Hey folks, I've posted plenty of pictures up on Facebook. Public links to the albums below... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=126236&id=542536185&l=a0778cc6ee http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=126243&id=542536185&l=a116d87033 Loads of Okkervil River!
September 2009 -
Zaimondos Agree, great festival, made better by being very lucky with the weather. Not going to get too annoyed with missing Okkervil River in the woods - them the breaks. On the other hand got lucky with the Horrors cancelling so managed to catch Efterklang who were fantastic. Highlights for me in no particular order were Tallest Man on Earth, Vetiver, Tiny Vipers, Okkervil River, Explosions, the Hold Steady and Efterklang. Only negative the tipi tent as mentioned below - may have seemed like a cool idea but really just a major inconvenience in terms of getting to see musicians. Looking forward to next year already.
September 2009 -
ArtzeDan yeah henrifernandez, the tipi tent annoyed me, we were going to go and see peter broderick in there but when we arrived it had just started and there was no way in, and due to the standing area being bent we couldnt see him and hardly hear him so we didnt bother in the end.
September 2009 -
Coggins12 I happened to be playing table tennis and saw Will walk past and I nearly fainted, so I followed them (as did about 30 others) and then they all went to the piano in the woods and a congregation gathered, so they played about 6 songs. They played Westfall which was incredible, I really missed that at their main show, but seeing it acoustically in the woods was 100 times better. They were really friendly afterward too.
September 2009 -
AgentZero Wow, what else did they play? And when was that announced/how did people know? I wasn't even doing anything at 4! So annoyed at myself.
September 2009 -
TheClassicFop Okkervil played the woods Sunday at about 4. Didn't really think it was gonna happen...then the band came strolling down the path & plonked themselves down on the sofas/piano...all quite ridiculous really! They played a lovely version of 'A King and Queen'. Nice to hear chants of "We Want More! We Want More!" at the end, bizarre for such sedate surroundings...and Will obliged with one more track...brilliant!
September 2009 -
AgentZero Oh god, I missed Okkervil in the woods. When was that?
September 2009 -

henrifernandez So when were Okkervil river on in the woods? Would have loved to have seen them play there. Fab festival, it gets better every year...Loved The Tallest man, Josh T pearson, Neko Case, Okkervil river, Broken Family Band, Bob Log 111, Au, etc etc...everything except the tipi tent which was a bottle neck log jam. Lovely tent but badly designed. Saw NOTHING in there apart from hearing a very faint Darren Heymen and the Brakes. The Bimble Inn of previous years was shambolic but at least you had a chance to see some bands! Can't wait to go back tho next year:)
September 2009 -
ArtzeDan I cant wait for some good photos to be upped :)
September 2009 -
TheClassicFop The Tallest Man On Earth was fantastic & yes, Okkervil in the woods - just amazing! Terrific sets from Shearwater, Loney Dear, Brakes & The Leisure Society...brill.
September 2009 -
subpop1968 what a weekend. explosions in the sky were amazing.
September 2009 -
futuristicmilo WOW. what a weekend. everything was amazing. The Hold Steady were incredible on Sunday. Loved Explosions, Fleet Foxes and Okkervil River too.
September 2009 -
Coggins12 ArtzeDan - yes. just yes. I was cheering for Westfall too, i think there were a few of us. The pianist was really friendly afterwards too, Will not so much but what did I expect? Westfall was just the highlight of it all.
September 2009 -
ArtzeDan Ahh yeah man totally agree man, (I was one of the guys at the back cheering for westfall) I was hysterical when they played it, probably my favourite song ever.
September 2009 -
Bartolone Definitely the best festival I've ever been to. Everything was so amazing. The highlight for me were Okkervil river, especially the gig in the woods. See you next year for sure!
September 2009 -
KasperwithK w.o.w!! thanks everybody
September 2009 -
acedrums Bloody hell that was good. Obviously Fleet Foxes were the best thing. Totally stunning as per usual. But The Tallest Man On Earth, Steve Earle, The Low Anthem and Vetiver all played stunning and moving sets. Everything was perfect about this festival
September 2009 -
Coggins12 Amazing weekend, everything was just perfect. I managed to meet, shake hands with and chat to The Tallest Man on Earth twice which was a massive highlight, and Okkervil River playing Westfall in the woods was so surreal, managed to have a chat with the pianist and Will, too. Brilliant weekend, gonna remember it forever.
September 2009 -
katyklubz that was fun, now gotta unpack all this stuff. My highlights: Okkervil River (on stage and in the woods), The Boy Least Likely To, The Heavy and the one and only Bob Log III....plus animation workshop, the uv table tennis, the enchanted woods and being with friends in the SUNSHINE!
September 2009 -
Rrrrrrrob Someone out there MUST have a spare ticket I can buy. Come on folks ?
September 2009 -
laura10883 Anyone got a spare ticket? Bit late in the day I realise but I want to go!
September 2009 -

tokyomoon I am pretty excited. :-)
September 2009 -
sunnychick I love grass hoppers.
September 2009 -

Pompeyhell I hate fence hoppers.
September 2009 -
joss23 EdProcter - hopefully you'll be in the minority if that's your plan! I went to a festival at the Larmer Tree Gardens some years ago which suffered from fence hoppers. As a result, queuing for beer and using the portaloos was even more horrendous due to overcrowding..
September 2009 -
kpc_0123 i have two adult, 2 kids and a campervan pass for the end of the road festival, can't make it due to illness - if anyone is interested mail me on info@co-lab.org - may split.
September 2009 -
almal shhh! you'll jinx it!
September 2009 -
sunnychick Yay! Crack out the SPF 30!
September 2009 -

Pompeyhell Weather looks like it's going to be sunny all weekend! You won't need your wellies.
September 2009 -
tehkatydaly @Coggins12 Indeed - however WEW and Mag do clash for about 15 minutes, I think I'm going to miss the first part of Magnolia just because WEW's set is shorter - still upsets me though..
September 2009 -
Coggins12 And and and Shearwater! *implodes* I didn't even realise William Elliot Whitmore was playing! You have made me a very happy man indeed. Him followed by Magnolia Electric Co.... wow. *gets even more excited* I just don't want to miss David Thomas Broughton, but there's a chance I might :(
September 2009 -
tehkatydaly I am so excited it's unreal. I've fallen in love with William Elliot Whitmore and Richmond Fontaine in the run up, on top of them there'll be Fleet Foxes, EITS, Okkervil River and and and *explodes*
September 2009 -
Coggins12 I can't believe it's only one week away...! *gets excited*
