Sat 17 Oct – Metal Female Voices Fest VII
I have ran out of time tonight to write more; will try to add more (and spell-check ;) ) tomorrow...
It's the third year running now that me and my cousin have visited this festival. Like last year we didn't even bother to check the line-up, we just bought the tickets at the end of 2008 and waited for what was coming. Like previous years I didn't know half the bands that where playing; which adds to the fun cause you listen to a band un-biassed. We stayed in Aalst like previous years (a special thanks to the people who gave us a lift back!).
They finally got rid of the miss world type ribbon that the presenter was wearing in previous years. I liked the T-shirt and the tattoos together with the nice German accent a lot better. The first band our host announced was Pinky Doodle Poodle
They play just like you expect looking at their band name. I thought it was fun; there was no real quality there but hey, these guys came from far and it was a nice warm-up. …
