Tue 21 Jul – Vans Warped Tour 2009
Let's start off with the fact that it had been raining since about 10 o'clock that morning and rained until about 5 o'clock that night. I ended up drying off quite a bit later on but for the majority of the show I was soaking wet.
Warped Tour has turned into such a sham; it was their 15th anniversary so they had classic bands such as Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, and NOFX. I was there to see all three of these bands and a few other random bands but other than that, the day was filled with terrible, disgusting, repulsive, mind-bending, grotesque, and most of all depraved, christian hardcore bands. I am not going to relive the reality of this nightmare by chronicling it except for the fact that all of the punk bands who performed absolutely RAGGED on these christian "cookie monster" bands. But I'll get into that a little later.
Every band I saw between noon and 5 o'clock, with the exception of Alexisonfire, was absolutely horrid. …
