Fri 28 Aug – Reading Festival 2009
The best day musically of Reading 2009 was easily the best.
Anyway here's the bands I saw and what I thought of them
Sonic Boom Six - Main Stage - 6/10
Opening the festival is never easy and Manchester Ska Punk band Sonic Boom Six seemed up to the task, they managed to get some of the Skanking despite the wet weather. I feel though that if SB6 had played some of their heavier songs the crowd would have given them a better reception
Madina Lake - Main Stage - 7/10
I'm not really a Madina Lake fan but they delivered an energetic set and managed to get the crowd singing along to House of Cards and Here I Stand. They put on a good performance and they were pleasant surprise
Alexisonfire - Main Stage - 8/10
Alexisonfire took to the stage and delivered an awesome performance, the first Mosh pits of the day were seen. George Petite and Dallas Green managed to get the crowd singing along to the classics such as Boiled Frogs and Accidents while presenting…
