    Było ich wyjątkowo dużo, w różnych miejscach, różnych okolicznościach. Poniżej lista 22 koncertów, które najbardziej z minionych 12 miesięcy utkwiły mi w pamięci.

    22. Kyst, 16.06, Sopot

    Kyst dopiero stawiają swoje pierwsze kroki (chociaż nie tak znów krótko), a swoją koncertową odsłoną potrafią zrobić niemałe wrażenie. Jest w niej miejsce zarówno na spokojne, minimalistyczne kawałki jak i w energiczne, hałaśliwe utwory. Podczas koncertu w Papryce dodatkową atrakcją było liczne grono gości, które temu koncertowi dodało niesamowitego uroku.

    21. The Mae Shi, 28.05, Barcelona

    Ilu tak naprawdę muzyków gra w tym zespole? Nie mam pojęcia. W Barcelonie zagrało ich trzech z perkusją odtwarzaną z playbacku. Ale to absolutnie nie przeszkodziło w zagraniu fenomenalnego koncertu. The Mae Shi szaleli na scenie i żywiołowo serwowali bardzo energiczną muzykę. …

    PRIMAVERA SOUND FESTIVAL, Parc del Forum, Barcelona, 28 May-30 May –

    For anyone accustomed to trudging around muddy fields and camping in stormy weather during music festivals, Primavera Sound is a bit of a culture-shock. Situated in the beautiful setting of the Parc Del Forum, the site is mostly concrete, and with the exception of the Auditorium (reserved for a handful of shows) all the stages are outdoor ones. While I can’t help but feel that watching the likes of Bat For Lashes on an outdoor stage under roasting sunlight kind of takes away from the atmosphere a bit, there’s no arguing with the stellar line-up that Primavera provides. It also differs from the Irish festival experience in that the music continues until the small hours of the morning. Which, unfortunately, isn’t so great when you neglect to pace your drinking...

    First up on the line-up for us are Canadians Women, who turn out a set distinguished by abrasive guitars and spiky…

    La nostalgia que sientes por algo pasado suele ser una ecuación que reparte la importancia entre el tiempo transcurrido desde entonces (cuanto más, mejor) y cómo de bien lo pasaste. Que no haya pasado ni una semana del Primavera Sound 09 y ya sintamos nostalgia de él es muy significativo: a veces no tiene por qué ser sólo por los conciertos en concreto (que también), a veces es sólo por el ambiente que se respira, los tres días (además de los previos y posteriores) en los que la música alternativa de verdad toma Barcelona y el Parc del Fòrum y todo encaja como nunca hubiéramos pensado que podía encajar. El Primavera Sound tiene todas las cosas buenas de un festival (un cartel artístico envidiable, mucha variedad, fiesta) y evita las malas (duermes en casa, los accesos están bien resueltos, no es excesivamente caro). Este año, gracias al maestro Neil Young, que accedió a empezar su gira europea en el festival tras 22 años sin pisar la ciudad condal…

    Sent sincers, mai no he seguit la dilatada carrera del grup de Kristin Hersh. A Rockdelux ja parlaven de Throwing Muses des que vaig començar a ser lector habitual de la revista, però em passa el mateix amb un grapat de bandes nord-americanes que, encara que tinc alguns CDs i conec els temes més emblemàtics, no les conec en tant com voldria, com ara The Breeders.

    L’inici del seu concert al Primavera Sound va ser allò que els anglòfons anomenen blast from the past: potser un dels primes temes que vaig escoltar mai del grup, Shark, molt definitori del que seria la nit... CONTINUAR LLEGINT I VEURE FOTOS + REPERTORI

    Do Barcelony jsem priletela z Albionu uz ve stredu, s lehouckou kocovinou a dvoudennim, ale snesitelnym spankovym deficitem. Postel nakonec musela ustoupit plazi, ktery se proste nedalo odolat, a finale Ligy mistru, kterou hrala Barcelona s Man Utd prave ten den. Po asi deseti minutach, kdy je ostrovy celkem solidne drtily, dal Etoo prvni gol a pak uz to byl cajk. Asi v sedmdesate minute to pak pojistil Messi a mohlo se slavit. Apocalypse now, then. Vzala jsem to zaroven s tou Sangrii za 10.99 a Dälek.

    Protoze jsem mela ofiko opravdickou dovolenou a zadny povinnosti svazany s psanim reportaze, mohla jsem si dovolit vynechavat vsechny blbosti a veci jako Sonic Youth a Bloc Party a misto toho se valet u more, na zahradce u velbloudu nebo na louce u pressu, ucit se recky, turecky a italsky, jist wafle a pit kafe a zertovat na adresu Jarinovych koutu. Cheche. Ironii je, ze reportaz bude nakonec jak v Lidovkach, tak na Freemusiku…

    Si hi ha una figura dintre del món de la música a la que he admirat des que vaig conèixer la seva biografia és, sens dubte, la d’en Tony Wilson. Amb l’edat que tinc ara mateix ell ja regentava el Russell Club als afores de Manchester, el qual s’acabaria anomenant com la discogràfica que fundaria el 1979, Factory. Va ser el primer en portar a la televisió els grups punks, abans fins i tot de ser vetats per la BBC: quan estaven en plena ebullició. A la vegada, amb Factory Records va instaurar les bases del que es considera una discogràfica independent, deslligada de les pressions de la comercialitat i el mainstream. El primer llançament discogràfic va ser el recopilatori A Factory Sampler (FAC2), amb una espectacular portada del geni Peter Saville y temes de Joy Division, The Durutti Column, John Dowie i Cabaret Voltaire.

    Ara bé, el primer llançament d’un grup per ser va ser doble i en una mateixa data, el 21 de maig de 1979. Aquell dia sortiren a la venda els dos primers senzills de Factory. …

    Okay, it was amazing. Terrific. Euphoric. Blissful.

    I'll start off on Wednesday night. Traversed through La Ramblas, which was only a short walk from our apartment- met up with my flatmates and walked around the flashy apartment a bit numbstruck. I could have stayed their forever. Of course, it was the Champions League final, and as a Man Utd supporter, Barcelona was a strange place to be. We found a shabby cafe to watch the match (awful match), and attempted to avoid the throngs of horn-toting Barca fans. It was kinda funny, we ended up being closed into alleyways while policemen fired off rubber bullets as warnings. Apparently there were riots later.

    Thursday we played some scrabble and then set off for the festival site. The forum is by the sea, a huge site featuring various stages and courts, all concrete. As a festival goer comfortable with the grassiness of Latitude and Leeds, it was a little disconcerting at first. My least favourite stage perhaps, by the food court, was the Pitchfork one. …
