Thu 3 Jul – Rothbury Music FestivalFirst, it took 2 hrs 20 min. to get in, unorganized, not enough signs, especially in the camp areas, & it seemed to be run by volunteers that didn't really care about anything but getting their free passes. Some were a little helpful but it was hard to find them. The music was awesome, although the sound mix for Government Mule was horrible. The bass overpowered everything. The sound mix at John Mayer, playing at the same time, (overlapped) WAS GREAT. Could hear every instrument. Amazingly ,with all the heat & standing water, there were basically no bugs! The people out there were really nice & friendly. We hit a few with frisbies & they would apologize for getting in the way, as they picked up our frisbie for us. Could have been better lit, but not too bad. An overall excellent experience. Hope for more blues & rock bands in the future, but that's my personal preference.
