Practical info
Location: Fabriek 59 at the Lovense kanaaldijk 47 in Tilburg.
Tickets: free entrance, all day every day!

The Flexpo is Incubate’s flexible exposition where art, music and film come together. The first edition was a huge success. Edition number two will take place in Fabriek 59. In coöperation with Whatspace their hall will temporarily be the working ground of well-known and international visual artist Jeroen Doorenweerd.

Jeroen Doorenweerd will exhibit his new work ‘Impact’ at our flexpo for the first time. It seems that five huge metal balls which look like enormous bullets are launched from space These enormous bullets eventually found their way to the surface in numerous ways, draf, Plouf, Splash, Scratter and Crash. Witness ‘Impact’right now before it’s exhibited in the city of Leiden. It definitely is an unique situation, we can not only see the final work but also a part of its designing process in the room where it all began. (Check out Whatspace’s sneak peek!)

Incubate connects these five artworks with five musical acts and five short films. We’ll present five different atmospheres based on the follow titles; Drag, Plouf, Splash, Scatter and Crash.
Line-up info and timeschedule

Drag:
Music from Ignatz + Thee Wreckers + No Place Like Home, a short film by Rosto

Ignatz
A.k.a. Bram Devens pairs folk and blues with electronics, psych, drones and low-fi psychedelica and creates a complete unique sound with only a guitar and a battery of guitar effects.

A Short film by Rosto which includes characters and music from the thee Wreckers project.

Tatamp (Mirai Mizue)
Each living object has its own sound. Thus the sounds varied when there are more living objects. It becomes chaotic, and at the same time, melodic.

Splash:
Music from Fyoelk + City Paradise, a short film by Gaëlle Denis

Fyoelk
Psychedelic free-folk Electronics from Germany. Luscious warm melodies from primitive organs and other keyboards are accompanied by electro-rock oriented beats that sound like they come from cheap 808 imitations.

City Paradise (Gaëlle Denis)
Tomoko arrives to London from Japan and comes across a secret underground city. When she finds it, everything changes.

Saturday: August 24
The eat-in balls edition with falafelballs, meatballs, fishballs and chocolate balls. Bring your own balls and share! + Science fiction classic War Of The Worlds (1953) by Byron Haskin.

Music from Wouter van Veldhoven + Adam Neate, a short film by Chiel Aldershoff.

Wouter van Veldhoven
Using reel to reel taperecorders, home-build machines, cassette walkmans, and toy instruments Wouter van Veldhoven makes some musical oddities. Old means, new music.

Adam Neate (Chiel Aldershoff)
Documentary about a street artist in London who believes that art should be accessible to everybody. He creates enormous amounts of beautiful paintings on materials he has found, cardboard, wood and so on. He leaves his artworks on the streets of London in the morning so that anybody can take it home.

Crash:
Music from Dead Neanderhals + The Meaning Of Life, a short film by Don Herzfeldt.

Dead Neanderthals
No strangers to Incubate, this duo from Nijmegen create a New Wave of Dutch Heavy Jazz and will definitely get the party going.

The Meaning Of Life (Don Herzfeldt)
