Washington Town & Country Fair

As usual, we’ll start off on Wednesday night with the Opening Ceremony at 8 PM. Be there for both the presentation of colors as well as the presentation of the Livestock Scholarships and then continue with our Annual Queen Contest at 8:30PM. These ladies have worked hard all year and the Queen will be crowned at the conclusion of the ceremony. Make sure your favorite lady hears you cheer her on in the competition.



On Thursday we’re kicking off the Pepsi Main Stage at 8:30 PM with a platinum group who has sold over 1.5 million records, has had 3 Grammy nominations, and multiple ACM and CMT nominations - Little Big Town. This group has never been afraid to break new musical ground and they always put music first. Since they released their debut in 2002 they have had 12 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The amazing four part vocal harmonies of Little Big Town are sure to knock your socks off!



Friday’s artist is sure to rock! Originally formed in Stockbridge, Georgia in 1992, Collective Soul has gone on to produce four platinum records and they have been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Collective Soul has recorded seven number one mainstream rock hits. They present a unique mix of Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, and Grunge. If you like to rock, this band will deliver! Saturday is always a big night at the Pepsi Main Stage, and 2011 is no exception! This year on Saturday night we will be joined by Lifehouse, an alternative rock band from Los Angeles. In 2001 they joined the mainstream with their hit single „Hanging by a Moment“. This song won the Hot 100 Single of the Year - beating out Janet Jackson and Alicia Keys for the #1 single of 2001. They have sold over fifteen million singles and albums to date. At 8:30 PM on August 6th, Lifehouse brings an amazing performance that you don’t want to miss!

To close out on Sunday night, we are pleased to welcome award winning country music artist Joe Nichols. Joe Nichols has released 7 studio albums since 1996 and has produced 14 Top 40 Singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the number one singles „Brokenheartsville“, „Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off“, and „Gimme That Girl“ as well as five other top ten entries. Joe Nichols takes the stage at 8:00PM to wrap up the 2011 Washington Town & Country Fair on Sunday Night!
